白宫国家经济委员会主任凯文·哈塞特在接受采访时表示，周四公布的通胀数据让美联储主席沃什的工作“稍微轻松了一些”。
当被问及是否仍对沃什有信心时，哈塞特回答说：“当然”。他表示，沃什将根据数据作出应有的决定。
哈塞特说：“我非常、非常看好美联储政策今后朝着正确方向发展，也就是保持非党派和独立的方向”
同日，白宫贸易顾问彼得·纳瓦罗（Navarro）表示，如果当前市场趋势延续，美联储应考虑下调利率。
据华尔街见闻此前文章，美国6月PCE物价指数环比下降0.1%，为2020年以来首次录得月度负增长，同比升幅从前月的4.1%收窄至3.7%。剔除能源的核心PCE同比增速由3.4%小幅回落至3.3%，环比仅上涨0.1%，低于市场预期的0.2%。
