Trump: National Trust lawsuit reveals top military secrets, threatens national security

Trump's Truth Social latest posts08-15

President Donald Trump on August 15 accused the National Trust for Historic Preservation of being "TREASONISTS" for filing a lawsuit that he claims revealed "Top Military Secrets" about a secure facility being built for the White House. In a post on X, Trump said the organization, despite its name, is not a government agency and that the United States stopped funding it in 2005 because of disagreement with its mission. He argued that the suit seeks to halt a "vital" project essential to the safety of current and future presidents, their families, staff, and Cabinet members.

"They were asked by the United States Military not to bring this suit because of the Top Secret nature of the important facility being built," Trump wrote. He added that top military and Secret Service leaders showed them detailed plans, but the National Trust was not deterred because they suffer from "Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS)," as noted by Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania. Trump emphasized that the lower and upper sections of the building are "one highly integrated unit" and that the entire roof is occupied by a "DronePort."

Trump singled out the former president of the National Trust, Carol Quillen, who brought the case, saying she had "no background in Historic Preservation" and has been replaced unanimously. He also criticized a woman who walks her dog near the White House, calling her an "activist, or serial plaintiff" with no standing to stop the project, especially since the building had not yet risen and she had no renderings or pictures. "She has no Clearances, or expertise whatsoever, in National Security, Defense, or required protections for the President," Trump wrote, concluding that such abuse of the courts is causing Americans to lose faith in the justice system.
