President Donald Trump on Tuesday endorsed Jeanine Driscoll, the Hempstead Town Receiver of Taxes, for New York's 4th Congressional District. In a post on X, Trump praised Driscoll's commitment to "AMERICA FIRST Policies" and criticized her opponent, Laura Gillen, for opposing tax exemptions on tips, overtime, and Social Security.
"Jeanine Driscoll has my Complete and Total Endorsement to be the next Representative from New York’s 4th Congressional District – SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!" Trump wrote. He touted Driscoll's record on economic growth, border security, and election integrity, while accusing Gillen of supporting "massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender for Everybody."
Driscoll, serving as tax receiver in America's largest town, aims to succeed in the district representing parts of Nassau County. Trump's endorsement underscores his continued influence in down-ballot races ahead of the 2024 election.
