President Donald Trump on August 13 endorsed Kailee Buller, a former chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Agriculture during his administration, for New York's 22nd Congressional District. In a post on X, Trump praised Buller as an "America First Patriot" who has "the Courage and Wisdom to deliver strong results."
Trump criticized Buller's opponent, John Mannion, for voting against proposals to eliminate taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security, and warned that if Mannion and the "Dumocrats" win, "all of these things will be terminated." He also accused Mannion of supporting "massive Tax Increases, Open Borders, Men playing in Women’s Sports, and Transgender Mutilization of your Children," and claimed "No more Thanksgiving if John Mannion and the Dumocrats get in!"
Trump outlined Buller's policy priorities: growing the economy, cutting taxes and regulations, supporting farmers and ranchers, promoting "MADE IN THE U.S.A.," unleashing American energy dominance, securing the border, strengthening the military, veterans, and law enforcement, and defending the Second Amendment. He concluded with his "Complete and Total Endorsement" and stated, "SHE WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!"
