President Donald Trump on August 16 criticized Fox News host Shannon Bream, comparing her show to "the Worst of Fake News CNN" in a post on X. Trump accused Bream of consistently selecting negative guests, charts, and "polls" that fail to highlight his administration's achievements, including total border control, a record stock market with 81 record days in a year and a half, a $19.2 trillion investment in the U.S., military victories over Venezuela, the denuclearization of Iran, the lowest crime rate in recorded history, the lowest murder rate since 1900, the highest number of employed Americans ever, and a more than 500% drop in drug prices.
Trump also claimed that host Juan Williams, who he said was fired from PBS and thrown off "The Five" for someone even less competent, asked him for a photo when Trump visited Fox headquarters. "In any event, Shannon’s 'show' is beyond redemption," Trump wrote, adding that MAGA supporters understand this and will watch her ratings fall. He compared Bream unfavorably to former Fox host Chris Wallace, stating, "Chris Wallace was bad, but Shannon is even worse!"
Despite the criticism, Trump said the show likely had little impact because he is now returning to the Oval Office to continue working on "more TRIUMPHS and SUCCESSES" for the country.
