On October 27, President Donald J. Trump posted on X that he is traveling to Corpus Christi, Texas, for a “PACKED Rally” and that the United States will receive one million barrels of Venezuelan oil as a result of what he called a “Highly Successful Military Operation.”
Trump said the shipment would be followed by “the Biggest Oil Deal in the History of the World.” He added that, thanks to a “renewed relationship with Venezuela,” the oil is being provided “at NO cost to the American Taxpayer,” and described it as the first shipment of “BILLIONS of Barrels to come.”
He further wrote that by “unleashing Energy Dominance from Alaska, all the way down to Venezuela,” he has made the Western Hemisphere “the Energy Capital of the World,” and asserted: “Gasoline and Diesel Prices will soon come plummeting down — JUST WATCH!” The message was signed “President DONALD J.
