U.S. President Donald Trump said on October 28 that his endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “turned the tide,” in a post on X.
In the post, Trump wrote: “When President Trump endorsed Bibi Netanyahu, the whole tide turned, and now, rather than a decisive defeat for a Great Prime Minister, it looks like a big come-from-behind stalemate, or even a WIN for Netanyahu.” He added: “It all took place AFTER the Endorsement by President Trump, who only wants what is good for the Middle East, Israel, and the United States of America!”
Trump’s message cast his endorsement as the pivotal moment and characterized the outlook as shifting from a “decisive defeat” to a “come-from-behind stalemate,” or potentially a win for Netanyahu, while asserting that his aim is what he views as good for the Middle East, Israel, and the United States.
