Estee Lauder (EL) said Friday that it has signed a strategic partnership with Microsoft (MSFT) to increase and improve its cloud and data support.
The company said that as part of the collaboration, it will use Microsoft's technology to advance its Unified Data Platform. It said this will connect its data among its brands, regions, channels, and functions to reduce duplication, reuse data products, and create more accurate data-derived insights.
"These enhanced capabilities will help us drive sustainable growth, improve productivity, and support margin expansion, creating capacity to reinvest into our enterprise to serve our consumers," Estee Lauder Chief Technology and Transformation Officer Brian Franz said in a statement.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
