President Donald J. Trump said on November 1 on X that Congresswoman Haley Stevens has endorsed Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate.
In his post, Trump described Stevens as “a Highly Respected Democrat” who “narrowly lost in the Primary to Abdul Mohamed El-Sayed,” adding that Democrats had “wined and dined” her to assist their Michigan Senate campaign against Rogers. He stated that despite that courtship, she endorsed Rogers.
Trump also praised Stevens’s standing with voters, writing: “Her following is huge, and the level of respect from the People of Michigan, especially our African American and Jewish populations, is virtually unparalleled.” He framed her move as an act of courage, saying: “It’s a thing called bravery, and few people have it like just displayed by Congresswoman Haley Stevens!”
