This massive brand isn't going to be out of demand anytime soon.McDonald: MCD has continued to be among the safest stocks to invest in. The company's exceptional performance during the Great Recession makes it a clear buy.Source: Andy Dean Photography / ShutterstockThe current short-term recovery has put the stock market at a crucial point. Many stocks have been devastated by recent selloffs and investors are still split on whether or not the market is in oversold territory yet. While some point to the Federal Reserve’s (Fed) planned interest rate hikes and call for a recession, others point to oversold stocks to justify another market rally.Whatever it might be, it is clear that the stock market is currently highly volatile. There are unprecedented levels of uncertainty as the Fed has to battle both inflation and a contracting economy. Unlike in 2008 and 2020, the Fed cannot use quantitative easing to stimulate the economy. Doing so will only add more fuel to inflation. Therefore, the current situation is especially risky.Of course, some sectors, such as tech, are certainly being hit harder. However, many stocks continue to be overvalued compared to the rest of the stock market and could still go lower. With that in mind, investing in safe and stable stocks is a good option. Thus, the following seven safest stocks are unlikely to be as volatile:TickerCompanyPriceCOSTCostco Wholesale Corporation$474.29TSMTaiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited$94.44AVGOBroadcom Inc.$563.96KOThe Coca-Cola Company$63.12FLOFlowers Foods, Inc.$26.11PEPPepsiCo, Inc.$165.82MCDMcDonald’s Corporation$247.54Costco Costco could be a bargain stock after its sharp selloff. The stock has likely bottomed out and could continue to go up due to its solid finances in the long run.Costco has seen growth in both its revenue and net income this quarter. The company has also increased its net profit margin and earnings per share (EPS). Even though its price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio is still relatively high, the stock has performed exceptionally well in turbulent times. In addition, the company is in astable long-term uptrendin its financials. Moreover, Costco’s membership model has helped it combat inflation better than its competitors. Therefore, the current rebound of COST stock could be an excellent opportunity to get in on the stock.Taiwan Semiconductor Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) had a negative 33% selloff which has since cooled down significantly and the stock could be eyeing a rebound. Theglobal shortage of semiconductorshas led to the stock soaring by more than 200% after the pandemic. However, the recent selloff has likely dragged the stock below its intrinsic value.Taiwan Semiconductor hasreported robust financials this quarter. Year-over-year (YOY), quarterly revenue and net income grew at 35.5% and 45.13%, respectively. This is due to a high demand for semiconductors. Moreover, the net profit margin of Taiwan Semiconductor is also extraordinary at 41.28%, which grew by 7.11% this quarter. In addition, the semiconductor shortage is unlikely to be solved soon. Supply chain issues persist and the company will continue to profit from the high demand and increased prices for semiconductors. It is among the safest stocks due to its exceptional growth.Broadcom Broadcom is a company that manufactures and supplies a wide range of hardware and software products, including semiconductors. The company’s stock has seen stable growth in the market with very little volatility. In addition, its financials are robust, with its YOY quarterlyrevenueandnet incomegrowing at 15.79% and 83.9%, respectively. Moreover, the company has announced thatit will be acquiring VMware,Inc.(NYSE:VMW) for $69.1 billion, signaling a secure financial position.Nonetheless, investors should still be careful in the short-term as the VMware deal could add some volatility to the stock. However, AVGO is likely to remain among the safest stocks in the long-term.Coca-ColaCoca-Cola is one of the safest stocks to buy. The stock has always remained stable with very little volatility. Even in the current volatile market, KO stock has remained an outlier.Furthermore, this household brand is unlikely to die out. Even in the worst-case scenario, Coca-Cola is likely to remain profitable in the long-term. Moreover, the company is now financially stable after a long-term downtrend inrevenue, which will continue to aid its growth. In the latest quarter,Coca-Cola beat its EPS and revenue estimatesby 10.44% and 6.82%. The company’s YOY quarterly revenue grew by 16.31% to $10.5 billion and itsnet incomeincreased by 23.88% to $2.78 billion. In addition, despite heavy losses due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent supply chain issues, the company has recovered in almost all aspects. Therefore, I expect KO to be a safe stock to hold long-term.Flowers FoodsFlowers Foods is a bakery food company. FLO is among the safest stocks and has continued on a long-term uptrend, despite multiple downturns.Flowers Foods also has solid financials and hasn’t had any significant losses. In the current market downturn, FLO stock has maintained its uptrend and the company’s financials remained stable.Flowers Foods had a YOY quarterlyrevenuegrowth of 10.27% to $1.44 billion and itsnet incomegrew by 19.4% to $85.6 million in the latest quarter. Moreover, the company alsobeat its earnings estimatesby 15.79% and recentlyincreased its dividendby 22 cents per share. Thus, FLO is likely to remain a safe stock due to its stable finances.PepsiCoPepsiCo, Inc.(NASDAQ:PEP) is a similar company to Coca-Cola. However, PEP stock has historically been more stable than KO and PepsiCo’s profitability is significantly higher. This quarter, PepsiCo has delivered robust growth, with its YOY quarterlynet incomeandrevenueincreasing by 148.6% and 9.31%, respectively. Moreover, the stock hasn’t been very affected by the recent market volatility and has continued on a long-term uptrend.Even during a recession, PepsiCo products will remain in high demand. The brand is a significant one and the company is likely to remain profitable for the foreseeable future.McDonaldMcDonald is a no-brainer when discussing safe stocks. MCD stock is one of the most resistant when it comes to volatile markets and recessions. Even during the Great Recession, the stock grew by 7% and the company’s financialsflourished.Even more surprisingly, McDonald’s quickly recovered from the coronavirus recession, which hit restaurants particularly hard. Moreover, the company reversed itsrevenuedowntrend after the pandemic.Admittedly, the latest quarter was not the company’s strongest. However, McDonald’s stillmanaged to beat earnings expectations. With a waning consumer and plenty of inflationary headwinds, could Amazon stock prove too cheap ahead of its big day?Amazon (AMZN) stock took a huge hit on the chin amid the market sell-off as retail stocks slid over fears of a potential consumer recession. Undoubtedly, the “roaring 20s” seems to have ground to a slowdown, with some fearful that an economic downturn could cause even more pain in the sinking retail stocks.Undoubtedly, the recent quarter Amazon dealt to investors was brutal. The company missed the mark and appeared to have overinvested in the face of a consumer slowdown. After shedding more than 42% of its value from peak to trough, many may question the firm’s ability to grow under the Andy Jassy era. Jassy may be in the early innings of his tenure, but it has not been an impressive start for the man who took AWS to the next level. Whether or not ex-CEO Jeff Bezos is inclined to return to the helm, Amazon’s growth days are likely far from over.Sure, the consumer hasn’t been as strong this earnings season. However, don’t group Amazon with other fallen FAANG stars like Netflix (NFLX) or Meta Platforms (FB), which are facing tremendous pressure on their business models. If anything, Amazon is navigating through temporary pressures that should subside once macro conditions normalize and consumers get ready to spend again. Many consumers likely have balance sheets that are more swollen than they were before pandemic-era lockdowns. I’d look for consumers to put that money to work in discretionaries once confidence has a chance to improve, perhaps after the worst of inflation is over with.As shares of the e-commerce behemoth heat up again, heading into its big 20-to-1 stock split scheduled for June 6, I remain incredibly bullish.Likewise, on TipRanks, AMZN receives a ‘Perfect 10’ Smart Score rating, indicating a high potential for the stock to outperform the broader market.Fallen FAANG Play Likeliest to Recover? My Pick Would be Amazon StockThough stock splits generate no value, they could incentivize smaller retail investors to give the fallen FAANG stock a second look. In essence, the move could shine a bright light on the undervaluation of a company that’s still firing on all cylinders.Amazon was the priciest FAANG stock heading into the brutal tech-focused market sell-off. Arguably, it still is, as it is trading near 60 times trailing earnings. That said, many of the headwinds facing the firm seem to be more transitory in nature. Most notably, the impact of inflation and labor pressures are not factors that will weigh down Amazon forever. Things could drastically improve on both fronts over coming quarters. There’s a chance that Amazon’s prominent profitability pressures may dissipate far quicker than expected.Inflationary headwinds have proven difficult for any retailer to dodge and weave past. However, the overinvestment in excess capacity exacerbated Amazon’s margin woes for its latest quarter. The company can’t point the finger at the macro environment for such a fumble. In any case, such overinvestment may be a part of its long-term plan to ramp up its “Buy with Prime” service for other retailers. The service aims to better compete with traditional logistics-service providers like FedEx (FDX) and UPS (UPS). Undoubtedly, such a service could grow to become yet another colossal segment for the firm.Such investments aren’t likely to be appreciated by investors anytime soon. Rate hikes are fuelling demand for nearer-term profitability prospects and hurting firms investing heavily in forward-looking growth initiatives.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AMZN":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2346,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9053344586,"gmtCreate":1654488354145,"gmtModify":1676535456441,"author":{"id":"3576377533433583","authorId":"3576377533433583","name":"llipinggg","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3576377533433583","idStr":"3576377533433583"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Like","listText":"Like","text":"Like","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":5,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9053344586","repostId":"1185404677","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1185404677","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1654486341,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1185404677?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-06-06 11:32","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Amazon Stock Looks Cheap Ahead of Share Split","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=1185404677","media":"TipRanks","summary":"Story HighlightsAmazon stock is starting to pick up momentum heading into its 20-to-1 stock split. With the possible exception of billionaires, just about everyone does. The idea spawned a British (and then an American) quiz show. On television, it can happen overnight. In investing, becoming a millionaire takes time. Buying shares of high-performing companies can, over time, produce life-changing gains. The Trade Desk, Paycom Software, and Align Technology are three that I believe have that potential.Let's look at their earnings, growth rates, and valuations to see how they could transform a $100,000 portfolio into a seven-figure retirement nest egg over the next decade.1. The Trade DeskThere is an old saying in the advertising business that half of ad spending is wasted, but nobody knows which half. The Trade Desk is eliminating that waste with its data-driven self-service platform. Its customers manage their ad spending on more than 500 billion digital opportunities per day. The goal is to help customers make the most intelligent ad-buying decisions and provide them with an abundance of performance feedback. In today's digital economy, it's invaluable. And business is growing like a weed. Earnings per share (EPS) are expected to climb more than 23% next year. That's a reasonable rate to use in our calculation. The company has grown revenue 375% over the past five years. Also, gross spend on Trade Desk's platform climbed 47% last year to $6.2 billion. And management pegs the global ad-spend opportunity at $750 billion, with about $50 billion in display advertising. That offers plenty of room to grow for years.TTD revenue (TTM). Data by YCharts. TTM = trailing 12 months.Wall Street sees the potential. The Trade Desk's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio has varied between 40 and 120 over the past few years. We'll use 50 for our calculations.Doing the math on an initial investment of $33,333.33 (a third of the $100,000) leads to a stake in The Trade Desk worth almost $190,000 in 2032. That relies on bold assumptions. But they are well within what the company has delivered so far.2. PaycomPaycom offers businesses a platform to manage employee payroll, time and attendance, and benefits administration, among other things. Its product was built for the cloud. That's different from many traditional human capital management (HCM) vendors that have pieced together acquired software over the years.Customers can clearly tell the difference. Paycom topped $1 billion in revenue last year for the first time, a 26% increase over 2020. Most importantly, that revenue is recurring and sticky. Revenue retention was 94% in 2021. Customers stick around once they start using the platform. Before the pandemic, Paycom's top line was expanding between 30% and 45% each year. We'll use last year's 26% for our calculation and apply a multiple of 60 times earnings. That seems high. But shares have stayed within a range of 50 to 100 times earnings over the years. For Paycom, that one-third of the $100,000 hypothetically invested in 2022 turns into more than $350,000 a decade from now. That would make it a 10-bagger. While it might seem unlikely, if the market continues to reward predictable revenue, and Paycom continues to grow, it's possible. After all, its $1.1 billion in 2021 revenue is a drop in the bucket of an HCM market that is predicted to reach $47 billion by 2029.3. Align TechnologyThe company best known for its Invisalign clear teeth-straightening system is actually a vertically integrated combination of several businesses. They all help people get straighter teeth faster, and orthodontists and dentists see more clients every year. It also provides scanners and software -- two acquisitions -- that help practitioners develop and communicate a plan for patients. The growth opportunity is tremendous. Management estimates 500 million potential customers in the world with 21 million orthodontic starts each year -- two-thirds of them teens. For context, it shipped 2.55 million aligners last year.Align is the crown jewel in our attempt to grow a million-dollar portfolio. The $33,333.33 invested in it could grow over the next 10 years into $461,000. That's assuming the $12.50 analysts expect this year grows at the midpoint of management's long-term guidance of 20% to 30% a year. Similar to the other two stocks, Align typically trades at a premium. We'll use 50 times earnings, slightly above the bottom of the 40 to 100 historical P/E range. It's an amazing potential return when running the numbers.\"It's tough to make predictions, especially about the future\"That quote from Yankees legend Yogi Berra underscores a key point in the analysis above. No one knows what the world is going to look like in 10 years. Investors with a long-term mindset need to block out the noise without being irresponsible. The Trade Desk, Paycom, and Align have all grown rapidly while turning a profit. I expect that to continue. If the assumptions hold, a $100,000 investment will be worth $1 million in 10 short years.Calculations and chart by author. It's an interesting exercise that relies on the past as a guide. If the performance changes, so can the outcome. That's why it's best to build a diversified portfolio of a lot more than three stocks.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"TTM":1,"HCM":1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2986,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9012510601,"gmtCreate":1649349452030,"gmtModify":1676534496538,"author":{"id":"3576377533433583","authorId":"3576377533433583","name":"llipinggg","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":11,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"3576377533433583","idStr":"3576377533433583"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"K","listText":"K","text":"K","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":4,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9012510601","repostId":"1185894444","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"1185894444","kind":"news","pubTimestamp":1649345400,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/1185894444?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-04-07 23:30","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Tesla Is Due to Report Earnings in Late April.
