DraftKings upgraded to Overweight from Equal Weight at Wells Fargo

Wells Fargo upgraded DraftKings (DKNG) to Overweight from Equal Weight with a price target of $37, up from $28. The company's earnings report showed that it is capturing market share, capitalizing on an improved product, and limiting operating expense growth, the firm tells investors in a research note. Wells sees upward EBITDA revisions to come and a path to $1B adjusted EBITDA in 2025 for DraftKings.

Truist also upgraded DraftKings to Buy from Hold with a price target of $44, up from $31. The firm cites the company's inflection to profitability in Q2 as the management navigated around numerous early threats, and the path to "significant and sustainable" profitability has become clearer. DraftKings may be the "best top-line story in gaming today", even though the sector has been constrained by macro concerns, Truist adds.

2. Eli Lilly upgraded to Buy from Hold at Jefferies

Jefferies upgraded Eli Lilly (LLY) to Buy from Hold with $615 price target, up from $408 prior. The firm cited the two recent positive GLP-1 data points, with SELECT trial exceeding the firm's base case and its Mounjaro sales exceeding consensus estimates by 28%. Jefferies is also boosting its Mounjaro peak sales view to $70B and its orforglipon view to $8.5B.

3. Redburn more bullish on United Airlines, upgrades to Buy

Redburn upgraded United Airlines (UAL) to Buy from Neutral with an $80 price target, citing its preference for international airlines and a more positive view on the impact of fewer narrow-body deliveries on both capex and growth over the coming years for the upgrade. Growing domestic capacity should continue to pressure unit revenue, the firm tells investors in a research note. Against this backdrop, Redburn reassessed its view on the U.S. airlines.

4. Monster Beverage upgraded to Overweight at Piper Sandler

Piper Sandler upgraded Monster Beverage (MNST) to Overweight from Neutral with a price target of $63, up from $60. The share pullback makes Monster's risk/reward more attractive, the firm tells investors in a research note. While the company's Q2 results were below expectations, there is nothing concerning about the business or its near- and long-term momentum, contends Piper. It remains bullish on the energy drink category specifically, especially with no private label presence, and expects Monster to continue to be well positioned.

5. UBS upgrades Wayfair to Buy, raises price target to $110

UBS upgraded Wayfair (W) to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $110, up from $72. The company's low valuation multiple does not fully price in its "favorable intermediate term set-up," UBS tells investors in a research note. While sentiment on Wayfair shares has improved lately, the market will be surprised by the degree of profit upside the company is likely to generate in the coming periods, says the firm. It says the online retailer is "just on the cusp" of entering a multi-quarter period of sales growth and profit acceleration.

Top 5 Sell Calls:

1. Cloudflare downgraded to Sell at Guggenheim

Guggenheim downgraded Cloudflare (NET) to Sell from Neutral with a $50 price target. The firm sees execution risk at Cloudflare and believes the stock "has gotten way ahead of itself." There is risk in near, mid, and long-term estimates, and execution risk tied to the company's "worthwhile, but aspirational goals," Guggenheimer tells investors in a research note. The firm says Cloudflare's "modest" Q2 beat will not likely carry over to the second half, where a "steep hill" of new annual recurring revenue "needs to be climbed just to meet expectations."

2. JPMorgan downgrades Westlake to Underweight, raises target to $123

JPMorgan downgraded Westlake (WLK) to Underweight from Neutral with a price target of $123, up from $120. Westlake shares have outperformed the other deeper cyclical petrochemical companies since June, but Westlake does not offer the high free cash flow yield and large share repurchase capabilities of Olin nor does it offer the high 5%-plus dividend yields of Dow and Lyondell, the analyst tells investors in a research note. The firm expects Westlake's business conditions to continue to soften into the second half of 2023.

3. BofA starts Labcorp spinoff Fortrea with an Underperform

BofA initiated coverage of Fortrea Holdings (FTRE) with an Underperform rating and $27 price target following its spinoff from Labcorp (LH) last month. The late-stage contract research organization, or CRO, is better as a standalone entity, but has underperformed peers historically and the firm doesn't see this changing quickly, BofA tells investors. A discount to peers is "warranted at this time," the firm added.

4. JPMorgan bearish on Atea Pharmaceuticals, downgrades to Underweight

JPMorgan downgraded Atea Pharmaceuticals (AVIR) to Underweight from Neutral without a price target. The firm says that despite reiterating on track clinical timelines for bemnifosbuvir, it remains skeptical of the value accretive potential of the product candidate in either indication. JPMorgan currently approved antivirals continuing to dominate a shrinking market opportunity as severe COVID case rates dwindle. The firm anticipates Atea shares continuing to be under pressure and underperforming.

5. Piper downgrades Eagle Pharmaceuticals to Underweight on long-term concerns

Piper Sandler downgraded Eagle Pharmaceuticals (EGRX) to Underweight from Neutral with a price target of $17, down from $26, following the company's Q2 report. Though the company having raised its FY20 adjusted EBITDA and EPS guidance "is not lost on us," the firm says it "continues to struggle" with the longer-term EBITDA trajectory given what it views as "challenging dynamics on multiple fronts," including declining contribution from bendamustine products and sluggish uptake of new products Barhemsys and Byfavo.

","source":"lsy1666364704704","collect":0,"html":"\n
\n
\n\n\n\n
Wall Street's Top 10 Stock Calls This Week: Eli Lilly, DraftKings, United Airlines and More
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
\n
\nWall Street's Top 10 Stock Calls This Week: Eli Lilly, DraftKings, United Airlines and More\n
\n\n
\n\n\n2023-08-13 08:32 GMT+8 thefly\n\n\n
\n\n
\n
\n
\n
What has Wall Street been buzzing about this week? Monster Beverage upgraded to Overweight at Piper SandlerPiper Sandler upgraded Monster Beverage (MNST) to Overweight from Neutral with a price target of $63, up from $60. The share pullback makes Monster's risk/reward more attractive, the firm tells investors in a research note. While the company's Q2 results were below expectations, there is nothing concerning about the business or its near- and long-term momentum, contends Piper. It remains bullish on the energy drink category specifically, especially with no private label presence, and expects Monster to continue to be well positioned.5. UBS upgrades Wayfair to Buy, raises price target to $110UBS upgraded Wayfair (W) to Buy from Neutral with a price target of $110, up from $72. The company's low valuation multiple does not fully price in its \"favorable intermediate term set-up,\" UBS tells investors in a research note. While sentiment on Wayfair shares has improved lately, the market will be surprised by the degree of profit upside the company is likely to generate in the coming periods, says the firm. It says the online retailer is \"just on the cusp\" of entering a multi-quarter period of sales growth and profit acceleration.Top 5 Sell Calls:1. Cloudflare downgraded to Sell at GuggenheimGuggenheim downgraded Cloudflare (NET) to Sell from Neutral with a $50 price target. The firm sees execution risk at Cloudflare and believes the stock \"has gotten way ahead of itself.\" There is risk in near, mid, and long-term estimates, and execution risk tied to the company's \"worthwhile, but aspirational goals,\" Guggenheimer tells investors in a research note. The firm says Cloudflare's \"modest\" Q2 beat will not likely carry over to the second half, where a \"steep hill\" of new annual recurring revenue \"needs to be climbed just to meet expectations.\"2. JPMorgan downgrades Westlake to Underweight, raises target to $123JPMorgan downgraded Westlake (WLK) to Underweight from Neutral with a price target of $123, up from $120. The firm expects Westlake's business conditions to continue to soften into the second half of 2023.3. BofA starts Labcorp spinoff Fortrea with an UnderperformBofA initiated coverage of Fortrea Holdings (FTRE) with an Underperform rating and $27 price target following its spinoff from Labcorp (LH) last month. The late-stage contract research organization, or CRO, is better as a standalone entity, but has underperformed peers historically and the firm doesn't see this changing quickly, BofA tells investors. A discount to peers is \"warranted at this time,\" the firm added.4. JPMorgan bearish on Atea Pharmaceuticals, downgrades to UnderweightJPMorgan downgraded Atea Pharmaceuticals (AVIR) to Underweight from Neutral without a price target. The firm anticipates Atea shares continuing to be under pressure and underperforming.5. Piper downgrades Eagle Pharmaceuticals to Underweight on long-term concernsPiper Sandler downgraded Eagle Pharmaceuticals (EGRX) to Underweight from Neutral with a price target of $17, down from $26, following the company's Q2 report. Though the company having raised its FY20 adjusted EBITDA and EPS guidance \"is not lost on us,\" the firm says it \"continues to struggle\" with the longer-term EBITDA trajectory given what it views as \"challenging dynamics on multiple fronts,\" including declining contribution from bendamustine products and sluggish uptake of new products Barhemsys and Byfavo.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"AVIR":1.1,"UAL":1.1,"EGRX":1.1,"WLK":1.1,"NET":1.1,"W":1.1,"FTRE":1.1,"MNST":1.1,"DKNG":1.1,"LLY":1.1}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":1855,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9080990300,"gmtCreate":1649826726615,"gmtModify":1676534585296,"author":{"id":"4106403626717070","authorId":"4106403626717070","name":"Ducky09","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4106403626717070","idStr":"4106403626717070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Up up up for Alphabet and Tesla. Shares of the e-commerce software company will undergo a 10-for-1 split, and a \"founder's share\" for co-founder and CEO Tobi Lütke is also being proposed (which would give Lütke 40% of total Shopify voting power).Companies split their stocks for good reasons, like to better manage stock-based compensation to employees or share buybacks. However, a stock split by itself doesn't change a company's fundamental value, so business health should be assessed rather than stock price when contemplating a buy. With that in mind, here's why each of these stock split companies is a worthwhile long-term buy-and-hold right now.Image source: Getty Images.1. Shopify: A 100-year mission still early in its developmentI'll start with Shopify, because this is my favorite company among the stock split candidates discussed here. I believe this stock also has some of the biggest upside potential in the next decade and beyond.Shopify is on a \"100 year mission to make commerce better for everyone.\" Since its IPO in 2015, shares are up over 2,300%, and that's despite the recent 60%-plus sell-off from all-time highs. Suffice to say the journey has been highly profitable so far. Shopify's software suite helps aspiring entrepreneurs, small businesses, and fast-growing retail brands manage their sales online and via traditional in-person channels. Services include everything from website management to social media marketing to digital payment acceptance.Shopify's focus over the next couple of years will be scaling its Fulfillment Network, local warehouses from which Shopify users can manage inventory and quickly ship orders to customers. In an era of fast fulfillment, giving small merchants similar shipping options as bigger retailers will be a big challenge for Shopify -- but one that could be highly profitable if it can pull it off.Given the expectation for continued double-digit percentage growth, Shopify stock appears cheap at just 27 times trailing 12-month earnings. It isn't, especially considering Shopify Fulfillment Network is going to cost about $1 billion to build over the next few years. Nevertheless, this company has proven its worth in the retail world, and it has a mission that aligns with the benefit of its large and expanding user base. Shopify looks like a fantastic buy right now ahead of its proposed stock split.2. Alphabet: The internet is a secular growth megatrendIn July, Google parent company Alphabet will undergo a 20-for-1 stock split. The last time the internet search leader underwent such activity was in 2014. Since then, Alphabet shares have risen over 350%.There are plenty of reasons to believe Alphabet will continue to provide steady growth for many years to come. For one thing, its bread-and-butter business selling digital ads is still steadily gobbling up global market share of the overall advertising industry (on pace to reach $1 trillion a year in global spending). Digital ads have a lot of benefits for marketers, and they're highly profitable for Google.Alphabet is using those profits from its core Google business (\"Google Services\" generated an operating profit margin of 37% in 2021) to fuel lots of other projects. Google Cloud is chief among them. Organizations are migrating their IT workloads to data centers and adopting cloud-based services, providing Google with a second secular growth megatrend beyond just digital ads. Add in Google Payments, YouTube, various subscription services, self-driving cars, and more, and Google has no shortage of directions to take its business.Plus this is one of the deepest-pocketed organizations around. Alphabet had $140 billion in cash and short-term investments on hand at the end of 2021, offset by debt of only $14.8 billion. Trading for just 26 times trailing 12-month free cash flow, Alphabet stock looks like one of the best long-term values out there right now.3. Tesla: Still massive upside for the EV marketTesla had its last 5-for-1 stock split over the summer of 2020, and shares have doubled in value since then. In recent regulatory filings, the company has indicated it will put another stock split on the table for shareholders to vote on.The real reason to invest in Tesla right now, though, is the massive consumer migration from traditional internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles. Of the nearly-67 million vehicles sold worldwide in 2021, only about 6.5 million were electric vehicles (EVs). Tesla delivered just over 936,000 vehicles in 2021.As legacy automakers and other EV start-ups fire up their assembly lines for next-gen cars, it isn't reasonable to expect Tesla to continue commanding such a large slice of the EV market share. However, management thinks it can continue growing sales at roughly the same rate as the EV space overall, about 50% per year, for the next few years. For an automaker that just cranked out over $45 billion worth of vehicle sales in 2021 (less environmental regulatory credits sold to other automakers), that's an ambitious growth rate.A few catalysts could help Tesla supercharge its way to $100 billion in annual sales and beyond. Its new Gigafactories in Berlin and Austin, Texas, are now live. Though temporarily shuttered due to a coronavirus outbreak, the Gigafactory in Shanghai will handle production in Asia. More factories are likely on the way, as are new models like the Cybertruck. At 71 times one-year forward expected earnings, fantastic execution of its expansion plans is already priced into this stock. But if you think the move to EVs will continue at a rapid pace for the next decade, there's a lot to like about Tesla even at these sky-high prices.4. Amazon: A fantastic allocator of capital goes on a spending spreeFor in-the-know investors, Amazon's mind-boggling run higher isn't simply a story of e-commerce expansion. It's true, Amazon used its early lead in selling online to its advantage, but that's not really what has made the stock move nearly 155,000% higher since its IPO in 1997. Rather, it's been the company's success in allocating capital to highly profitable new projects adjacent to its e-commerce empire that has been the key ingredient to its success.Amazon Web Services (AWS), the cloud computing segment that started simply by \"renting out\" extra data center capacity from the e-commerce segment, generated only 13% of all revenue last year. However, AWS operating profit accounted for 75% of Amazon's grand total. Other services like advertising on its merchant platform accounted for much of the rest of operating income.Amazon spent an incredible $65 billion on capital expenditures (property, plant, and equipment) to support its long-term growth last year. With infrastructure costs only increasing thanks to inflation, that pace of spending isn't likely to abate anytime soon. For reference, Amazon's capital expenditures were $20 billion in 2020. The explosion in spending in support of steady expansion has put pressure on the e-commerce giant's bottom line. Shares currently trade for 47 times trailing 12-month earnings, and 240 times trailing 12-month free cash flow. However, if you believe Amazon will continue to be an excellent allocator of capital to the right projects at the right time, there's a lot to like about that explosion in capital investment. In a nutshell: The Federal Reserve is going to make a serious effort to fight inflation, and higher benchmark interest rates are on the way. That's putting the present values of stocks under pressure. However, despite the volatility, businesses that have the ability to raise their prices with limited consequences in an inflationary environment should still do exceptionally well. Three Fool.com contributors think Disney, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, and American Tower fit that description, and view them as quality names worth a look for investors now.Image source: Getty Images.A premier company in entertainment -- and entertainment technologyNicholas Rossolillo (Disney): Inflation is blasting consumers these days, but it's been a problem for entertainment businesses for years. With the rapid growth of new streaming services, there's been an explosion in demand for new films and TV series. Add in supply chain issues, and one can understand why entertainment production costs have been skyrocketing at double-digit percentage paces annually. However, I believe Disney has pricing power in this space. Disney+ is a fantastic product. For fans of Marvel, Star Wars, Pixar, and more, the company's marquee streaming service is the home of the latest and greatest content. Even if Disney boosts the monthly subscription price, I don't see many viewers getting upset enough to cancel. But there's an additional advantage in play here. Disney's technology should help it keep content creation costs in check. For example, when Mickey and Co. acquired Lucasfilm in 2012, it got more than just the Star Wars franchise. It also got cinematography tech assets like Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). One innovation that has come out of ILM in recent years is StageCraft, visual effects technology that uses walls of LED TV screens for on-set production. Basically, there's no need to send an entire cast and crew to exotic locales for filming anymore, thanks to those mega-sized screens. And multiple \"sets\" can be quickly changed out on the same day. ILM StageCraft has been used on Disney TV shows and movies, as well as for commercials and music videos.Disney's vertical integration will work wonders for it if the cost of doing business rises significantly due to inflation. The company owns the whole pipeline of entertainment production, from technology to popular franchises to distribution channels. All told, while Disney continues to rebound from the effects of the pandemic, it boasts a fantastic business model that's built to withstand all sorts of stresses. I expect Disney will grow its revenue at a modest pace in the coming years, but anticipate its profitability will balloon as Disney+ makes progress toward breakeven -- a milestone it's expected to hit in the company's fiscal 2024.Disney stock currently trades for 23 times forward earnings. With the stock down by some 30% over the last year, I'm a buyer at these levels. The world's most essential chip producer is already raising prices Billy Duberstein (Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing): When looking for stocks that can beat inflation, look for companies that provide unique, essential services, and can also raise their prices if necessary.Taiwan Semiconductor is the world's largest semiconductor foundry, and has a lead over competitors in producing leading-edge semiconductors. If you're Apple or Nvidia and need the most advanced process technology, you need to go with Taiwan Semi -- at least for the foreseeable future. Rivals Samsung and Intel are attempting to catch up, but that process could take years, if they are able to at all.Since there's still a semiconductor shortage, and also a scarcity of materials such as silicon wafers, Taiwan Semi is raising its prices. The company actually started that process in August, boosting prices on leading-edge semiconductors by 10% and lagging-edge mature nodes by 15% to 20%. While there are shortages of all types of chips, it's actually the ones manufactured with older processes -- which are widely used in autos and Internet of Things applications -- that have been experiencing the biggest shortfalls. And just last month, it was reported Taiwan Semi would be raising prices for lagging-edge chips by another 10% to 20% in the third quarter of this year. The price increases announced in August took effect in the first quarter of 2022, so they should lead to stronger results when Taiwan Semi reports on the quarter on April 14. Since Taiwan Semi also regularly reports its monthly revenues, we already know sales grew by 35.8% year over year in January and 37.9% in February. Expect strong revenue growth this quarter, and for Taiwan Semi to hike its 2% dividend in line with revenue and earnings growth later this year. All in all, demand for semiconductors should continue to increase even if the economy slows down. That's because the growing AI, the Internet of Things, 5G, and cloud computing markets all need more semiconductors. Since it can raise prices to keep up with inflation without fear of losing sales, Taiwan Semi is a stock to buy with confidence amid the tech sector pullback. The complete packageAnders Bylund (American Tower): For a company to be a reliable hedge against inflation, it should come with a few specific qualities. It needs to have staying power for the long run, offering products or services that will be in high demand for decades. The stock should be positioned to beat the broader market, either due to a low buy-in price or a history of upward momentum. The stock should offer a dividend with a meaningful yield.Cell tower manager American Tower checks all of these boxes. It leases out space on cell towers and other wireless network hubs to telecoms around the world. Yes, around the world -- the company name is a bit misleading. Half of American Tower's 2021 revenues came from international assets, and the company's fastest-growing markets are in Africa and Latin America. As long as people need wireless networks, American Tower will be in business. The stock isn't exactly cheap, trading at 47 times earnings and 13 times sales. You get what you pay for, though -- a high-quality business with industry-leading scale, financial growth, and profit margins. Meanwhile, the stock is down more than 9% year to date in 2022. There should be a serious rebound somewhere in this stock's near future. And then there's the dividend. As a real estate investment trust (REIT), American Tower is obligated to pay out at least 90% of its taxable income every year in the form of dividends. Otherwise, it would lose the tax benefits that come with its REIT status. As such, you can rest assured that American Tower will keep those payouts coming. At today's share prices, it's delivering an effective yield of 2.1%.Taken together, American Tower's fantastic long-term growth prospects plus a modest dividend bonus should add up to shareholder returns that far outpace inflation. Headline news that a Sony and Hondaelectric vehicle (EV) partnership could bring a new EV competitor to market in short order is somewhat of a surprise. Both Sony and Honda traded down today along with the broader market, despite this news. This joint venture between the two iconic companies appears to be an interesting match. After all, Sony revealed its prototype EV, the Sony Vision S, way back in 2020. However, many investors had major questions, such as: Which company will actually be behind the manufacturing of this vehicle?Honda, a global powerhouse in producing passenger vehicles, is certainly a compelling choice. This top auto manufacturer already has production arrangements with General Motors(NYSE:GM) to produce a number of EVs. However, Honda’s focus on developing its own EV production may get a boost from this partnership.Sony’s creative focus, and ability to build products consumers like, certainly bring a lot to the table. Reportedly, the joint venture will be behind the development and sales of these EVs. Having a partner in this process appears to be something Honda was looking for to accelerate its transition to EVs.With all that said, let’s dive into a few interesting things investors may want to know about this partnership. What to Know About the Sony and Honda EV PartnershipBoth companies will be involved in the development and sales process with these “value-added electric vehicles.”Where these EVs will be released to market remains uncertain, though there’s speculation that Europe, the U.S. and China could be on the table, in addition to Japan. It’s expected the first vehicles will be ready for sale by 2025.This rather fast turnaround is based on projections of success for this joint venture.Sony brings its leadership in digital sensors and imaging technology to the table.Additionally, Honda’s manufacturing expertise and capacity is of utmost importance to this joint venture. This EV partnership gives investors two more competitors to consider in this fast-growing space.","news_type":1,"symbols_score_info":{"SONY":0.9}},"isVote":1,"tweetType":1,"viewCount":2907,"authorTweetTopStatus":1,"verified":2,"comments":[],"imageCount":0,"langContent":"EN","totalScore":0},{"id":9033698014,"gmtCreate":1646264389198,"gmtModify":1676534109226,"author":{"id":"4106403626717070","authorId":"4106403626717070","name":"Ducky09","avatar":"https://static.laohu8.com/default-avatar.jpg","crmLevel":12,"crmLevelSwitch":0,"followedFlag":false,"authorIdStr":"4106403626717070","idStr":"4106403626717070"},"themes":[],"htmlText":"Will market drop further with the increase?","listText":"Will market drop further with the increase?","text":"Will market drop further with the increase?","images":[],"top":1,"highlighted":1,"essential":1,"paper":1,"likeSize":0,"commentSize":0,"repostSize":0,"link":"https://ttm.financial/post/9033698014","repostId":"2216746421","repostType":4,"repost":{"id":"2216746421","kind":"live","weMediaInfo":{"introduction":"Providing stock market headlines, business news, financials and earnings ","home_visible":1,"media_name":"Tiger Newspress","id":"1079075236","head_image":"https://static.tigerbbs.com/8274c5b9d4c2852bfb1c4d6ce16c68ba"},"pubTimestamp":1646235947,"share":"https://ttm.financial/m/news/2216746421?lang=&edition=fundamental","pubTime":"2022-03-02 23:45","market":"us","language":"en","title":"Fed's Powell says still appropriate to raise interest rates by 25 bps in March","url":"https://stock-news.laohu8.com/highlight/detail?id=2216746421","media":"Tiger Newspress","summary":"Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell said he is inclined to support a 25 basis point rate increase at","content":"

Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell said he is inclined to support a 25 basis point rate increase at the March policy meeting but said the central bank is prepared to move more aggressively later if inflation does not abate as expected.

"I’m inclined to propose and support a 25 basis point rate hike," Powell testified before Congress on Wednesday about the Fed's upcoming March meeting.
