$Lightbridge(LTBR)$ Sharing something different today... there has been quite a bit of selling lately with regards to risky assets, such as the big 7, AI, crypto and even the latest hip, quantum computing. Even the safe haven such as gold and silver have corrected slightly.
I have been holding light bridge lightbridge for a while now. Besides the principal stock, I have an option on it. Both doing alright I suppose given the late correction seen towards the end of February. Lightbridge hits a recent high of $16.90 in on Valentine day before correcting down. What a correction it did, around 50% in fact! It went all the way to $8.64, nearly wiping out all my gain.
This sharing is not to show off my bravado. I have actually placed an order to sell around $10 sometime ago but the drop was too severe to catch its selling price. The reason for not continue to sell when the original order expires was that I realise that lightbridge result was just in 2 days. I have decided to wait for it as I have confidence that the market would like it. Sure enough, the price flew after the result announcement (you can read the result yourselves after this sharing if interested [Tongue] We are need to put in some effort if keen to invest in a company, don't we? [Cool] [Miser] [Sly] )
What attracts me to the conpany is its fuel technology. The company is a nuclear fuel technology provider. The fuel is designed to operate at lower temperatures, extends reactor lifespans and reduce nuclear waste. Since the operation temperatures are lower, it is inherently designed to also enhance nuclear safety. With the increasing proliferation and importance of nuclear energy to power nations and data centres, I think it is important to support technology that reduces waste and enhance nuclear safety.
The tipping point to put money in is I realised that perhaps the technology is not as far fetched as I had made up to be after its agreement with Oklo in January this year. Market is fickle, the price shot up after the announcement, only to come crumbling down. I bide my time, waiting for the expected correction to happen before I pounced.
The market gives and takes. We take what market gives... nothing special, nothing clever... just plain bored execution. Market goes up and down, we reap what we sowed. Take precautions in these unusual times. Once safety is enhanced, brave when you need to.
