Singapore is a small city with limited attractions. Tourist can finish the city state in 2-3 days. Having such concerts will certainly boost the tourism industry and will benefit stocks like SIA, SATS and the casino. Singapore has prided itself on its efficiency and safety which are important for artists and organisers. You won’t have last minute cancellations that is disruptive and cause artist to lose money. Being the premium destination for Southeast Asia will attract tourists probably from the whole of Asia which will help drive the tourism and hospitality industries, big malls like Suntec and Vivo should benefit too. I don’t enjoy concerts due to the crowds but I don’t mind the city-wide coordination and welcome additional shows like those at marine bay sands as these are good for locals to enjoy too. Of course, if Singapore can just ride on its reputation without having to offer subsidies to attract these artists, the nation earns more!Disclaimer: Investing carries risk.
