AppLovin surged more than 20% in just four days following its stellar earnings report. The stock has since pulled back slightly, though this move has been in line with the broader market downtrend.
I opened a couple of cash-secured put (CSP) contracts shortly after earnings. While the options spent much of their lifespan under pressure, the stock’s choppy price action worked in my favor, and they eventually expired worthless—allowing me to keep the full premium.
AppLovin remains one of my favorite stocks to trade options on, thanks to its consistently high implied volatility. This environment favors option sellers, and beyond selling far-out CSPs, I also take advantage of intraday setups by scalping with short calls whenever opportunities arise.
