🌟🌟🌟Intel $Intel(INTC)$ was up on Thursday after it reported better than expected Q3 25 earnings results, citing strong demand for PC processors.

Intel reported USD 13.7 billion of revenue compared to analysts expectations of USD 13.2 billion.  EPS was USD 0.23 cents versus analysts expectations of just USD 0.02 cents EPS. 

Intel's share price jumped 7% post earnings and is up 88% year todate.

Intel's guidance was solid.  It forecasts revenue of USD 12.8 billion to USD 13.8 billion for the current quarter versus expectations of USD 13.4 billion. 

Q3 25 results marks the 4th consecutive  quarter of improved execution and reflect the underlying strength of its core markets. 

According to CFO David Zinsner, current demand is outpacing supply, a trend that Intel expects will persist into 2026.

Intel uses the x86 chip architecture in making the processors that act as the main computing brains for PCs and servers. 

Intel's Reboot and Catalysts

The US Government Takes A 10% Stake In Intel. 

In an unprecedented move, the Trump Administration converted the CHIPS Act grants into equity, acquiring a 10% stake in Intel and becoming Intel's largest shareholder. 

Intel And Nvidia : From Rivals to Reinventors 

Nvidia $NVIDIA(NVDA)$  invested USD 5 billion in Intel, acquiring a 4% stake and launching a partnership.  Together they will co develop AI infrastructure and PC products, integrating Nvidia's NVLink with Intel's x86 CPUs. 

Jensen Huang, Nvidia CEO summed it up :

"Intel spent 33 years trying to kill us.  Now we are lovers, not fighters."

Why This Matters :

Intel's foundry pivot gains credibility with Nvidia's partnership. 

The US government bet on Intel gives Intel a new lease of life.
