This APP cash-secured put was part of a strangle setup, and like the short call side, both legs expired worthless as the stock stayed comfortably within range. I still have a CSP running and plan to reopen a short call next week, effectively setting up another strangle. I’m leaning bullish on APP after its solid earnings report — fundamentals look strong, but price action remains subdued compared to the sharp rally a month ago when APP was added to the S&P MidCap 400 index. For now, I’ll continue working the strangle strategy to capture premium while waiting for a clearer breakout signal.
