Black Face Mode Activated, Boss Still Called It Cute

Got “attacked” in a meeting today. I raised a legit concern, but instead of answering it, one of the bosses said I should’ve predicted it and come with solutions. Face instantly went full charcoal mode 🫠

Then before the meeting ended, one boss said loudly, “You look cute when your face is black.”

Everyone laughed.

Honestly… what was the purpose of saying that in front of the whole room? 🤨

Colleagues told me I damn gutsy for holding that black face from start to finish. 😂

[LOL] question is whether predicting and coming up with solution is your job or your boss job.. if it is your boss job.. then u can always say u not ambitious enough to take over your boss role..
Or you can reply.. next time I will do that.. but be sure to promote me for it😂

That's basic survival instinct. In Singapore, if you don't fight for yourselves, no one will fight for you. As you gain more xp in the workforce, you also grew in confidence in your ability and less afraid of losing your job. You probably also realised your bosses need you more than you need them.

Each workday is challenging, and I’ve noticed myself reacting differently. I used to keep quiet and hide my feelings, but now it’s hard to hold them back. I’m not sure if this means I’m getting worse, or if I’ve simply realised I need to defend myself.

I guess if you want money, working in Sg gets you more. If you are looking for less stressful environment, Australia 🦘 is more suitable. Of course, money is compromised somehow.

I think you have successfully converted some bosses to your fan… [Happy][Tongue][Chuckle][Evil] Just tell the boss that the solution is beyond your pay grade… sigh… don’t understand why people like to sabotage their own staff. Isn’t it their job to support them? [Facepalm][Spurting]

Deflection from the bosses - their ego was threatened 😆 Good on you for  speaking up, next time address the deflection too!
