$AMD(AMD)$ stock closed at $202.07 on Tuesday, up 5.82% from the previous day. Market expectations for MI300 shipments and data center growth are heating up. The approximately 6% increase was also boosted by the forward PE ratio falling to around 30 times, institutional buy recommendations dominating, and a slight net inflow of funds on the day.

AMD’s Implicit Volatility stands at 58.70%, IV Percentile reaches 64.54%. This means that the current IV is higher than it was for approximately 64.5% of the past year, placing it in the upper-middle range.

Institutional funds exhibited complex strategic deployments. For example, selling a call option with a strike price of $250 expiring on May 15, 2026, and a put option with a strike price of $145 expiring on April 10, 2026. This indicates that institutions are using high volatility to collect premiums, expressing a neutral to range-bound view that "the stock price is unlikely to break through extreme price levels." AMD‘s $210 strike call option expiring next Friday shows high volume.

$Amazon(AMZN)$ shares performed strongly, driven by recent positive news. The stock closed at $216.82 on Wednesday, up about 4% on the day.

The market generally interprets this as a strategic shift by the company to reduce some robotics jobs and focus capital expenditures on AWS cloud services and its self-developed AI chips. This move aims to optimize cost structure and focus on the high-growth AI field. This, coupled with the general upward trend in tech stocks, boosted the share price.

There are 1.15 million AMZN option contracts traded on Wednesday. Call options related to AMZN showed big gains. For example, the $215 strike call option expiring this Friday soared 367.53%.
