Top mover alert: Nikkei225 - trending call warrant jumps 22% as index extends gains to 3% in two days following potential pension fund flows
The $Nikkei 225 Index(N225.JP)$ September futures is up another 1% this morning to 65,825 as of 1130AM, taking its two-day gain to 3%
✳✴Trending N225 call warrant $NKY 81000MBeCW261211(ZY2W.SI)$
(https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/ZY2W) is trading 7 times more - up 21.9% to SGD 0.078 on the back of the N225 Index's move, while trending N225 put warrant $NKY 50000MBePW261211(ROJW.SI)$ (https://warrants.com.sg/tools/livematrix/ROJW) is down 17.9% to SGD 0.078
💴The N225 is buoyed by Bloomberg news that Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) - the world's largest retirement savings pool with approximately 294 trillion yen (USD1.8 trillion) in assets) - is looking to change its investment focus as encouraged by Japanese PM Takaichi, to invest 20 billion yen in a Japan-focused private equity fund
Some investors believe this move by GPIF to bring funds back to Japan from offshore investments will be a positive for Japanese shares
⚙Investors who foresee further moves in the N225 may wish to consider doing so using Macquarie's trending N225 call and put warrants which move between 5 to 7 times more than the N225, based on their effective gearing levels (as of 1130AM)
