Looking at agentic AI investing in 2026
My focus would be on companies that are enabling AI agents to perform real business tasks, not just building chatbots.
My 2026 takeaways
🥇 Tier 1: The platform winners
These companies are best positioned because they own the infrastructure or software ecosystem that AI agents depend on.
Microsoft (MSFT) – The strongest enterprise AI story. Copilot, Azure AI, GitHub, and Microsoft 365 create a large installed base for AI agents.
Alphabet (GOOGL) – Gemini, Google Cloud, Search, Workspace, and its AI infrastructure make it a key beneficiary.
Amazon (AMZN) – AWS remains a major platform for enterprises deploying AI agents.
NVIDIA (NVDA) – Still the "picks and shovels" provider. If AI agents require more inference, NVIDIA benefits.
🥈 Tier 2: Pure-play AI software
These companies could see outsized growth if enterprises increasingly automate workflows.
Palantir (PLTR) – One of the clearest agentic AI stories. Its AIP platform is designed to let AI agents interact with enterprise data and business processes.
ServiceNow (NOW) – AI agents for IT, HR, customer service, and enterprise operations.
Salesforce (CRM) – Agentforce is its major push into AI-powered customer service and sales automation.
🥉 Tier 3: AI infrastructure
These companies support the compute and networking required for AI.
Broadcom (AVGO)
AMD
TSMC (TSM)
Arista Networks (ANET)
What I would watch in 2026
Rather than focusing only on AI announcements, I'd pay attention to:
AI revenue – Is AI contributing meaningful sales, not just user growth?
Enterprise adoption – Are customers deploying AI agents into production?
Margins – Can companies monetise AI while maintaining profitability?
Capital expenditure – Are AI investments generating attractive returns?
If I had to rank them
Microsoft
Alphabet
Palantir
NVIDIA
Amazon
ServiceNow
Broadcom
Overall, I think 2026 will be less about who has the best AI model and more about who can turn AI agents into recurring, profitable enterprise products. Companies with large customer bases, proprietary data, and integrated software ecosystems are likely to have an advantage because they can embed AI agents into existing workflows and monetise them at scale.
