A 30% $PLTR Rally Doesn't Change My Rules
$Palantir Technologies Inc.(PLTR)$ 's earnings rally has been impressive, but it hasn't changed my process.
Every major rebound since the previous bull cycle ended has looked similar at first—strong momentum, renewed optimism, and plenty of traders calling a bottom. More often than not, those rallies became liquidity for late buyers rather than the start of a sustained uptrend.
Since losing its weekly Fair Value Band in February, PLTR has remained in a multi-month redistribution phase. Historically, these structures resolve lower into smart-money accumulation zones roughly 70% of the time before a durable trend resumes. While there are always exceptions, the probabilities still favor patience over chasing strength.
Even after today's 30%+ earnings surge, the stock has yet to reclaim and hold above weekly fair value. Until that level flips into support, I don't view this as a confirmed structural breakout.
That's why I'm staying on the sidelines.
If the stock never revisits my buy zone, I'll simply let it go. Missing a winning trade is far less costly than abandoning a disciplined process.
A buy zone isn't a prediction that the stock must fall. It's simply the price where I'm willing to own it.
If price reaches that level, I'll buy.
If it doesn't, I'll move on to the next opportunity.
There will always be another setup. My edge comes from consistently following my rules—not from chasing candles after they've already run.
