$SUPER MICRO COMPUTER INC(SMCI)$ Nvidia just delivered another strong data point for the AI infrastructure thesis. Revenue came in at $96.2B versus $92.3B expected, Data Center revenue was $89B versus $86.3B expected, and net income hit $59.7B. Management expects growth to accelerate, and Nvidia is helping unlock as much as $500B in data-center financing.
Those GPUs don't operate by themselves. They need servers, racks, networking, power architecture, and increasingly liquid cooling at scale. That's where Supermicro fits in.
SMCI is positioned directly in the AI infrastructure buildout with Nvidia platforms and rack-scale solutions, while also participating in the broader ecosystem with AMD and major AI customers.
Nvidia just told Wall Street that AI infrastructure demand isn't disappearing, it's scaling. And while Nvidia trades like the king of AI, Supermicro is still being valued like the AI buildout is about to collapse. I think the market is eventually going to have to reconcile that disconnect.
Chips are only half the story. Somebody has to build the machines and racks that deploy them.
