ALIF Holding Plans ALIF Composites to Expand Robo.ai’s Advanced Manufacturing Business
@Robo.ai:
Robo.ai majority-owned subsidiary targets Q4 2026 production and 10 million square meters of annual raw-material capacity in 2027 ABU DHABI, UAE, October 12, 2026 — ALIF Holding, a majority-owned subsidiary of $Robo.ai Inc(AIIO)$ , today announced plans to establish ALIF Composites as a majority-owned subsidiary in the UAE. Production is targeted for Q4 2026, with annual manufacturing capacity of 10 million square meters of composite raw materials targeted for 2027. The project aims to expand ALIF Holding’s presence in materials manufacturing, precision manufacturing and engineering services, developing a new source of business growth for Robo.ai among UAE and regional industrial customers. ALIF Composites plans to operate at the ALIF Holding Group Industrial Park (the “Park”) in Umm Al Quwain as its second proposed project company after ALIF Maritec. Phase I broke ground on September 25, 2026, with plans to refurbish existing premises into shared industrial space with a total designed gross floor area of approximately 8,845 square meters. The Park supports the Group’s target of at least three project companies by the end of 2026, with ALIF Maritec expected to be the first occupant. ALIF Holding will coordinate premises, equipment, engineering teams and project execution to advance production readiness and operations. The planned portfolio includes carbon fiber and glass fiber composites, prepregs, engineered and structural components, and precision molds and tooling. These products address requirements for weight reduction, structural performance and durability in marine, mobility, energy and industrial applications. The 10 million square meter annual capacity target relates solely to raw materials; downstream components, molds and engineering services represent additional business opportunities and are excluded from this area-based measure. The company plans to expand into aerospace and other specialized markets as the necessary qualifications are obtained. ALIF Composites intends to serve external equipment manufacturers, engineering firms and industrial customers through materials sales, custom manufacturing and engineering services. Combining materials supply with component development would allow the business to participate in projects from product development and prototype validation through to batch procurement, with the aim of securing ongoing supply relationships. Responsive local engineering and delivery support will be central to its approach to customers in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The planned manufacturing model spans design, prototyping, tooling, molding, testing and batch production, using autoclave molding, compression molding and resin transfer molding according to product requirements. ALIF Holding will focus on product quality, process consistency and delivery efficiency as it develops these capabilities, connecting raw-material supply with downstream component manufacturing to support customized requirements and batch production for industrial customers. ALIF Composites is also intended to complement ALIF Maritec’s focus on maritime protection, smart ports, underwater intelligence and critical infrastructure protection. Composites, lightweight structures and custom components could be combined with ALIF Maritec’s planned sensing, AI analytics and systems integration capabilities, broadening ALIF Holding’s scope from materials engineering to intelligent systems delivery. The Group plans to develop both potential internal applications and external customer opportunities, supporting Robo.ai’s intelligent infrastructure strategy with physical products and engineering capabilities. Dr. Jasem Al Mansoori, Chief Executive Officer of ALIF Holding, said, “Our objective is clear: to build a UAE advanced manufacturing business serving regional markets, translating the integration of materials, engineering and intelligent systems into competitive products and delivery capabilities. ALIF Composites is an important part of that strategy. Starting with our Q4 production target, we plan to expand capacity and market reach in stages, pursue industrial customers and repeat supply business, and make local manufacturing a lasting competitive advantage for ALIF Holding and a new source of growth for Robo.ai. Customer validation, delivery performance and sustained business expansion will be the measures of our progress.” To advance the Q4 production plan and 2027 capacity target, ALIF Holding will focus on equipment commissioning, product and process validation, staffing and quality systems, alongside customer development and acceptance. Marine, industrial and tooling applications will be priorities. Product performance, customer validation and delivery execution will guide commercialization as the company builds the production and operating capabilities needed for batch supply. Grand View Research estimates the global composites market at approximately US$120.6 billion in 2026. The firm identifies demand for lightweight, corrosion-resistant and durable materials across transportation, energy and infrastructure as important industry drivers. ALIF Composites plans to use the UAE as a manufacturing and engineering services base, developing products and supply capabilities around specific customer projects and industrial applications. The project aligns with the UAE’s Operation 300bn strategy, which aims to increase the industrial sector’s contribution to GDP to AED 300 billion by 2031. ALIF Holding plans to combine international technology partnerships, local engineering talent and development of the Park to build a regional manufacturing business, translating technology and product development into local delivery capabilities and strengthening the industrial foundations of Robo.ai’s advanced manufacturing platform.
