Nothing out of the ordinary has happened in the world or in the news. Same political drama, inflation concerns, rate hikes, yield curves, oil prices, the usual.
They are manipulating the algorithms, which I believe now account for 80% of the trading. The idea, in my view, is to frustrate retail investors and buy their shares cheap.
Look at the volatility and price swings lately. Even the 2020 volatility after the crash was more predictable. This market is moving on a whim.
