$Bloom Energy Corp(BE)$

Q3 2026 Financial Highlights

• Explosive Top-Line Growth: Revenue surged 138% year-over-year to $1.24 billion, easily topping consensus expectations.

• Bottom-Line Beat: Adjusted earnings per share reached $0.94, beating the anticipated $0.69.

• Raised Guidance: Management raised full-year 2026 revenue guidance to a midpoint of $4.5 billion ($4.4B–$4.6B range), marking the third consecutive quarter of guidance increases.

• AI & Data Center Tailwinds: Rapid deployment capabilities for on-site power generation (critical for data centers facing grid bottlenecks) continue to fuel massive commercial traction, including major framework expansions like Oracle's Project Jupiter (scaling to 2.4 GW).

Key Concerns & Bearish Arguments

• Negative Free Cash Flow: Despite booking strong profits on paper, operations used cash during the quarter (recording roughly $180 million in negative free cash flow), driven by ballooning working capital, contract assets (~$859 million), and inventory builds.

• Headline & Macro Risks: Broader investor anxiety surrounding AI infrastructure spending, customer credit health (such as exposure questions regarding CoreWeave), and execution timelines have kept the stock volatile.

• Valuation Headwinds: Trading at a triple-digit P/E multiple leaves very little room for error if scaling costs or billing milestone delays persist.

Analyst Sentiment & Outlook

• Bullish Camps: Firms like Mizuho, Bernstein SocGen, and Morgan Stanley maintain positive/Outperform stances with price targets stretching from $335 to $351, emphasizing multi-gigawatt scaling potential heading into 2027 and 2028.

• Cautious/Defensive Camps: Other shops (such as BTIG) have trimmed price targets down toward $250 citing near-term margin and cash conversion friction, while value-focused analysts remain wary until cash flow catches up to revenue growth.

That $859M contract asset line matters more to me than the FCF scare. Revenue visibility looks pretty real here, inventory alone doesn't explain this kind of demand.
