US Market Snapshot – Volatility Creating Opportunities

Wall Street bounced back this week after a choppy stretch. The S&P 500 closed higher (around +0.7%), with the Nasdaq leading gains as tech showed signs of stabilization. Investor sentiment improved on renewed AI optimism, including buzz around big AI company filings, while oil prices eased slightly.Key themes right now:Tech and semiconductors remain the main drivers but continue to swing hard.

NVDA pulled back sharply toward the $210–$216 zone after recent highs, offering better entry levels for long-term holders.

Memory names like MU also saw meaningful dips before starting to recover.

Software and data plays such as PLTR have held up relatively well and remain in strong multi-month uptrends.

Overall, the market is still in a “higher but volatile” phase. Corrections in high-quality growth stocks are creating selective buying opportunities rather than broad panic.

Personally, I’m staying focused on a concentrated set of high-conviction names — primarily NVDA, MU, and PLTR — while keeping a cash buffer for further dips. Volatility is uncomfortable in the short term, but it often rewards disciplined accumulation in quality businesses.
