Tesla’s Q3 Earnings: Revenue Holds, but Margins Face Pressure

Tesla's $特斯拉(TSLA)$ Q3 2026 numbers reveal a company investing heavily in its future, even as profitability comes under pressure.

Revenue reached $28B, broadly flat year over year, while operating margin fell to just 2.6%, down from 5.8% a year earlier.

But beneath the headline figures, Tesla's businesses are moving in different directions.

- Automotive: Revenue declined 3% to $20.6B.

- Services: Revenue jumped 33% to $4.6B, with gross profit doubling YoY.

- Energy: Revenue fell 16% to $2.9B, despite storage deployments rising 10%.

- Cash flow: Free cash flow turned positive at $1.5B, despite capex rising 110% YoY.

With spending on AI, robotics and infrastructure accelerating, the question is whether Tesla can turn today's investments into tomorrow's profit growth.
