I strongly believe that Singapore is leading the way in financial literacy education, and it serves as a model for money education worldwide. As one of Asia's financial centers, the country's local specialty is undeniably money, and this focus is reflected in the strong foundation most Singaporeans have in financial literacy. I am convinced that this emphasis sets Singapore apart from other nations. I firmly assert that Singapore does a better job at financial literacy education than other countries. The fact that financial literacy is taught from a young age, with primary school students having dedicated financial education classes, is a testament to the country's commitment. This structured approach gives children a head start that I believe other nations lag behind in providing. I am ce

Philip Morris International Q2 2025 Deep Dive: Igniting Value As Smoke-Free Surge Counters Combustible Decline

$Philip Morris(PM)$ The embers of Philip Morris International's (PM) transformation from a traditional tobacco giant into a smoke-free leader are erupting into a sustained blaze. Q2 2025 results provide compelling evidence that the company's high-stakes pivot is not merely mitigating decline but actively creating substantial new value. While the combustible cigarette portfolio, as expected, continued its secular retreat, the explosive growth across IQOS, ZYN, and the broader smoke-free category surged ahead, driving impressive top-line expansion, robust profitability, and significant market share gains. This quarter wasn't just about weathering a storm; it was about demonstrating the potent ignition of PM's future profit engine, fundamentally reshap

Will Interest Rate Cut Benefit S-REITs?

A majority of S-REITs have strategically extended their debt maturity profiles beyond two years and secured over 70% of borrowings at fixed rates. These proactive measures were designed to mitigate the impact of prior rate hikes. As a result, while the current environment of potential interest rate cuts may offer some tailwinds, not all REITs will benefit equally due to their hedging positions and capital structure. 👉Follow Kenny Loh Source: REITsavvy $CapLand IntCom T(C38U.SI)$ $Mapletree Ind Tr(ME8U.SI)$ $Mapletree PanAsia Com Tr(N2IU.SI)$

EURCAD Analysis: Bullish Sequence Extends From Blue Box

Hello traders. Here is another blue box blog post. In a post like this, we review some of the latest blue box trades that Elliottwave-Forecast members took. In this post, the spotlight will be on the EURCAD currency pair. EURCAD is clearly in a bullish sequence from August 22, 2022, in the primary degree wave count. This cycle forms a 3-wave structure. Wave ((A)) ended in April 2023. Then, a wave ((B)) pullback followed and completed at the September 2023 low. From that low, the pair rallied and breached the wave ((A)) high, kickstarting wave ((C)). As a result of that breach, a bullish sequence is now confirmed. Ideally, traders should buy dips in a bullish market and sell bounces in a bearish one. Wave (1) and (2) of ((C)) ended in November 2023 and November 2024, respectively. Then, wav

Earnings season is off to a rocky start, and the pattern is clear: even when companies beat expectations, the upside is minimal, while any stumble leads to sharp losses. Google’s performance sums it up—an initial pop quickly faded, ending with less than a 1% gain despite beating estimates. Meanwhile, misses like ASML’s are being punished brutally, with a double-digit slide that didn’t stop after day one. TSMC, another bellwether, briefly rallied post-earnings but couldn’t hold its gains, starting a losing streak instead. This is classic late-cycle behaviour: markets are priced for perfection after a long run-up, and even “good” results aren’t enough to move the needle higher. Investors are demanding more than just a beat—they want reassurance on future growth, margins, and clear evidence t

DBS charging toward S$50 is a headline moment for Singapore’s banking sector, but it’s also a flashing yellow light for anyone getting too comfortable at these highs. While the stock’s rise to an all-time high of $49.21 is impressive—especially after last year’s stellar 52% gain—the pace has noticeably cooled, up just 16% year-to-date. Valuations are now well above book value, and with such a massive loan book, DBS is more exposed than ever to shifts in net interest margins (NIM). Analysts are right to warn about increased share price volatility. As margin pressure accelerates—thanks to peaking rates, increased funding costs, and possible loan growth slowdowns—earnings across the sector could take a hit. DBS itself has flagged this risk, and the recent rally looks increasingly vulnerable t

This earnings season has been full of surprises. I expected “beat and rally” moves, but even strong results didn’t guarantee gains. $ASML Holding NV(ASML)$ dropped over 8% despite solid earnings, and IBM slid sharply the day after reporting. It’s clear investors are now focused more on guidance and macro risks than just revenue or EPS beats. I made a few trades, like a bear call spread on $Netflix(NFLX)$ , which paid off after the stock dipped post-earnings. Still, I’m more cautious now. Even chipmakers like TSM & $Texas Instruments(TXN)$ saw selling pressure despite decent results—fears around demand & trade issues seem to be in control. A simple beat
