$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ For AMD, new call option positions are mostly bearish. It’s worth noting that institutions didn’t choose to roll bullish spreads on Wednesday.Based on past experience, when there’s a short squeeze, the stock price usually pushes up close to the short strike, which is around 170. $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ Similar to AMD, new call option activity is primarily bearish. The 185 level is a key resistance.Bears are watching from the sidelines and aren’t committing heavily to puts—bearish open interest is just average. There probably won’t be any major downside before earnings.Looking for a weekly close in the 175–185 range. $Apple(AAPL)$ Apple also ex
🚨 Crypto Bills Pass – So Why Did $CRCL Tank Instead? | Next Week's Playbook
Big headline: The U.S. House passed the stablecoin legislation, clearing a major hurdle for crypto clarity and sending the bill to Trump. Markets should've rallied. But $CRCL plunged ~10% intraday, spooking bulls. So what gives? 📉 Why Did $CRCL Drop So Much Today? Buy the rumor, sell the news: A lot of the gains from $180 → $230 were priced in before this confirmation. BTC stalled near $118k, weakening sentiment across crypto proxies. Large players may have rotated profits into other tokens or macro plays (e.g., semis post-TSM beat). Circle's direct connection to the bill is indirect—it benefits long term, but no immediate earnings upside was announced. 🔮 Prediction: What to Expect Next Week 1. $CRCL Range: Likely to consolidate between $212–$230 unless BTC breaks past $120k or Trump signa

$VXX 20250829 55.0 CALL$ VXX: collected $340 (3.05%) from these covered calls with strikes at $55. This is $5 higher than my usual strike setup to cater for more upside in exchange for lesser premium return since last Fri VXX had spiked up quite well. Contract expires in 4 weeks on 29th Aug. VXX spiked higher by 8.46% last week to close at $45.91. The spike was mostly due to Fri 1st Aug sell offs. Still a distance away from the strike of $55 and won't mind letting go of the underlying shares since my average holding is at $49. Will observe coming week market if the Fri sell offs is sustained. Sold this when VXX was still rising on Friday so it's currently in the red. Am ok with it, as hard to time the market peaks or lows.
$CapitaLandInvest(9CI.SI)$ I continue to collect CapitaLand Investment (9CI.SI) because I believe it remains one of the most compelling real estate investment platforms in the region, offering a unique mix of recurring income and capital appreciation potential. The company has consistently demonstrated strong fundamentals, a well-diversified portfolio across geographies and asset classes, and a focused asset-light strategy that supports steady fee income growth. As Singapore and other key Asian markets gradually recover, I see CapitaLandInvest well-positioned to benefit from improving rental yields and capital values. Today, the stock retraced to its EMA25 (25-day Exponential Moving Average) support and successfully rebounded from that leve
$Microsoft(MSFT)$ I’ve added to my Microsoft position, confident in its long-term advantage in cloud computing. While rivals like Amazon and Google grow fast, Microsoft’s comprehensive suite of corporate software deeply strengthens its cloud presence beyond just AI. Azure’s recent outperformance highlights this edge—especially as Amazon’s cloud stumble led to an 8% drop in its stock. Even with Microsoft’s P/E multiple rising above 33, the valuation seems justified. It’s not just about AI; Microsoft has multiple growth engines firing simultaneously across enterprise and cloud segments.
$Walt Disney(DIS)$ I’ve added to my Disney position, driven by the company’s bold pivot into immersive gaming universes. Historically guarded about character crossovers, Disney’s embrace of franchise integration — like Marvel and Avatar coexisting in a Fortnite-style world (code-named “Bulldog”) — signals a strategic shift. Their collaboration with Epic Games taps into a massive user base and builds future fandom in a way that’s scalable and sticky. This move could unlock a new monetization frontier for Disney IP, blending storytelling, AI, and gaming.
The long and short of it: To AI, or not to AI - and is it the next bubble?
BLOOMBERG VIA GETTY IMAGESWe cannot know yet whether we are looking at another dotcom bubble, says Greg Boland.Greg Boland is chief strategy officer for Tiger Fintech.ANALYSIS: “To AI or not to AI?” Type this into Google and you are bombarded about the ethical dilemma that AI presents. I typed the same question into ChatGPT and it responded with:That’s the Shakespearean question for the 21st century. If you mean “Should we use AI?” — the answer depends on context:To AI — if you want to scale tasks, discover patterns in huge data, automate the repetitive, or explore creative frontiers. Not to AI — if the stakes involve deep ethics, sensitive human judgement, irreplaceable human connection, or high-risk decision-making where errors have severe consequences. It’s less about “yes” or “no” and mo
Novo Nordisk’s Outlook Cut: Short-Term Pain, Long-Term Potential?
$Novo-Nordisk A/S(NVO)$ Novo Nordisk, one of Europe’s largest pharmaceutical companies, has recently issued a sharply downgraded outlook for 2025, triggering a steep sell-off and forcing investors to reassess the company’s trajectory. While the first half of the year delivered robust double-digit revenue and profit growth, management now projects mid-single-digit growth for the second half, with most of the weakness concentrated in the United States. This sudden shift has intensified debate among shareholders. The near-term picture is clouded by competitive and regulatory pressures, yet the long-term thesis anchored in global obesity and diabetes treatment remains intact. Investors must now decide whether the current valuation reflects a buying opp
Gartner Plunges 55%: Oversold Opportunity or Value Trap?
$Gartner(IT)$ Gartner (NYSE: IT), once a steady compounder in the research and advisory sector, has found itself under intense selling pressure in 2025. The stock has shed nearly 55% from its all-time highs, erasing years of multiple expansion and investor optimism. The sharp decline followed a rare guidance cut that spooked Wall Street and prompted a reassessment of its growth trajectory. But with Gartner now trading at historically low valuation multiples, is this a compelling entry point for long-term investors—or a sign of deeper structural concerns? Performance Overview & Market Feedback Gartner’s second-quarter results were a paradox: strong on paper but weak in guidance. The company delivered robust earnings per share and beat revenue exp
Understanding Commodity Supercycles: When Metals Markets Signal Major Shifts
A deep dive into how global liquidity, currency dynamics, and cycle theory combine to create decade-long trendsFor those who understood cycle analysis and the confluence of factors discussed in this framework, the gold breakout in February 2024 would have been clearly anticipated. The alignment of liquidity expansion, dollar weakness, and cyclical positioning all pointed to a major move in precious metals. That breakout, which many missed or dismissed as temporary, exemplified how understanding these deeper market dynamics can position investors ahead of significant trends. This analysis explores the framework for identifying and understanding these supercycles, particularly in precious metals and the broader mining sector, and what current market conditions suggest about the potential for
