🪙 Wall Street’s Biggest Rating Moves Last Week: AMD Upgraded, Intuit & TJX Cut

Analysts turned more bullish on AI infrastructure, solar and biotech while taking a more cautious stance on several consumer and software names. 🐯 Hi Tigers, here’s the setup: Wall Street was busy reshuffling its stock calls last week, with analysts reassessing companies across semiconductors, solar, biotech, software and retail. The bullish side was led by $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$, $Argenx SE(ARGX)$, $SolarEdge(SEDG)$, $First Solar(FSLR)$ and $Synopsys(SNPS)$, where analysts saw improving growth
🪙 Wall Street’s Biggest Rating Moves Last Week: AMD Upgraded, Intuit & TJX Cut
TOP苏36: For me, AMD's upgrade is the most important call of the week. The interesting part isn't simply the $641 price target, but the changing definition of the AI infrastructure trade. Investors have spent years focusing on GPUs, yet the AI data center is an ecosystem: CPUs, networking, memory, power and software all have to scale together. AMD is well positioned to benefit from this broader spending cycle, especially if server CPU demand continues to expand and AMD captures more share. I also like the risk/reward argument here. Unlike a pure momentum upgrade, the thesis is tied to a potentially much larger addressable market and earnings leverage. The key question now is valuation. If AMD can translate AI-driven infrastructure spending into sustainable cash-flow growth, the stock could have another leg higher. For me, that makes AMD more compelling than simply chasing stocks after analyst upgrades. @WallStreet_Tiger [邪恶]

Chang Pengyao (Oliver) @Oliver 的期权旅途 is a seasoned investor with years of hands-on options trading experience. Starting with a five-figure portfolio and gradually building it to an eight-figure level, he has gone through multiple market cycles, mistakes and drawdowns along the way. Higher-for-longer rates may pressure near-term valuations, but resilient growth and strong AI-driven earnings provide fundamental support. $ServiceNow(NOW)$ I'm continuing to DCA into $ServiceNow(NOW)$ and, importantly, I'm comfortable averaging up rather than waiting for the stock to return to my previous entry price. For me, the key question isn't whether NOW is cheaper than where I first bought it—it's whether the company's long-term fundamentals are becoming stronger. I believe they are. ServiceNow sits at an interesting intersection of enterprise software and AI. Companies are increasingly looking beyond AI experimentation and toward actually embedding AI into their workflows, IT operations, customer service and employee processes. ServiceNow already has the enterprise relationships, workflow platform and ecosystem needed to monetize that transition. If AI increases the valu

TOPzinglee: I think NOW’s long-term compounding is still underappreciated. The bigger shift is AI moving from demos into workflows, and that kind of platform stickiness usually shows up in pricing power, not just multiple expansion.

[Stock Prediction] Can Broadcom Break $400 After Earnings?

Broadcom reports fiscal Q3 earnings after the market closes on September 2.Wall Street expects about $29.4 billion in revenue and $3.23 in adjusted EPS. $Broadcom(AVGO)$ The bigger story is custom AI chips. OpenAI has been working with Broadcom on a custom inference chip called Jalapeño. Early tests reportedly showed better power efficiency and faster response times than Nvidia’s GB300. That does not mean Broadcom is about to replace Nvidia. It is still early. The chip is focused on inference, has not been tested against Rubin, and large-scale production is not expected until late next year. But the trend matters: More AI companies want chips built around their own models and costs — and Broadcom could be one of the biggest winners. What to expect?

Nvidia’s Numbers Are Strong. Wall Street Is Asking: Where Is the Money Coming From?

Nvidia has largely answered the question of whether AI demand remains strong. Investors are now examining how its customers finance GPU purchases—and how much risk Nvidia is assuming to keep the infrastructure boom moving. Nvidia jumped 8.7% in the first session after earnings, lifting the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index by 2.3%. One day later, NVDA fell 4.6%. Fed Chair Kevin Warsh’s hawkish remarks pushed Treasury yields and rate-hike expectations higher, but monetary policy was not the whole story. Friday’s decline was likely driven by three overlapping factors: Higher rates pressured technology valuations. Investors took profits after Thursday’s 8.7% surge. Concerns about circular financing, customer spending and falling margins returned to the spotlight. The earnings were genuinely st
Nvidia’s Numbers Are Strong. Wall Street Is Asking: Where Is the Money Coming From?
TOP苏36: The real Nvidia risk isn't demand—it's credit. Nvidia has already proven that AI demand remains explosive. The bigger question is who ultimately carries the risk behind that demand. I'd pickB: customer credit and guarantee exposure. Nvidia's $500B financing initiative relies largely on third-party capital, so it isn't automatically "fake demand." But Nvidia's willingness to provide major guarantees—such as up to $105B for OpenAI's Ohio data center—means the company is increasingly tied to the financial health of its customers and infrastructure projects. If AI utilization keeps rising, this strategy could accelerate growth. But if funding dries up, GPU economies deteriorate, or customers struggle to monetize compute, Nvidia could face a risk it never had as a pure chip supplier. The next AI cycle may be less about GPU demand—and more about who owns the downside. @Tiger_comments [龇牙]

S&P 500 reaching another record high is exciting, but I don’t think a new high automatically means it’s time to buy aggressively. There are plenty of reasons to remain optimistic. Many of the largest companies in the index continue to report strong earnings, while AI, cloud computing and other technology trends are creating new opportunities for businesses. If corporate earnings continue to grow, today’s expensive-looking valuations could look more reasonable several years from now. Still, I think investors should be careful about getting caught up in the excitement. Markets don’t move higher in a straight line, and periods of strong momentum can make it easy to underestimate the possibility of a correction. Buying simply because everyone else is making money can be a dangerous strateg
