5 minutes before US market opens, DJIA has fallen marginally while both S&P 500 and Nasdaq are on target to rise marginally higher... Let's hope it ends well today.  Fingers crossed.

Inflation & Geopolitics halts US Market rally ?

What was supposed to be an anticipated Mon, 22 Jun 2026 rally, has been completely derailed after: Peace talks in Switzerland collapsed on Friday without an official deal. Re-closure of the Strait of Hormuz as Israel continues its unilateral military campaign in Lebanon. With US market short-term sentiments interrupted by above events, will investors have to defer to last week’s US economic reports to justify any investment exercise ? Pertinent US reports out the week before: Mon, 15 Jun 2026 - Industrial production report. Tue, 16 Jun 2026 - Import price index. Wed, 17 Jun 2026 - US retail sales. Thu, 18 Jun 2026 - US jobless claims. US Industrial Production. YoY Report. US industrial output grew by +1.67% YoY for May 2026, missing market consensus of 1.9% but higher than April 2026’s upw

In less than one hour, US market will resume trading on Wednesday.  To date, all major US Future indexes have turned "green" and US market is now poised to open higher than its Tuesday close. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for $Deutsche Bank AG(DB)$ (see attached).  DB is slated to open "lower" by -1.08%.  However, I am not worried.

On Thu, 29 Apr 2026, $Deutsche Bank AG(DB)$ handed in a “smashing” Q1 2026 earnings report. Before diving into the results, it would be interesting to learn about Deutsche, the biggest German private bank, not state-owned or central bank. Background DB is a German multinational investment bank and financial services company headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. It is dual listed on both Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2001. It was founded way back in 1870, in Berlin. It grew to its present market cap size through M&A, with its last purchase of Deutsche Postbank back in 2010. It used to be a bank of good reputation and standings, until it started cutting corners, embarking on risky business ventures resulting in

Replying to @1PC:As of Wednesday, 4:15pm Singapore time, US futures index are looking ok only. Both S&P 500 and Nasdaq are only marginally higher than where they left off on Tuesday when trading ended at 4pm. I really don't see light at the end of the tunnel not until the peace deal is signed and enacted for at least a month as spelt out in the "peace" contract.  Maybe then will be a good time to heave a sigh of relief. Until then, everyday is a winding road - one moment up and two moments down.  Very erratic.  Hope this is not the new "normal" of trading in US market.//@1PC:Let's view US markets opportunity is coming 😉😁//

On Tue, 23 Jun 2026 - Deutsche Bank's stock price felt the weight of the broader market downturn.  It dropped by -2.49% to close at $35.18 per share.  I am not panicking yet having hold the bank's stock for so long.

On Tue, 23 Jun 2026, US markets faced a sharp pullback driven by a steep global sell-off in big technology and semiconductor stocks.  Tech-heavy Nasdaq led the declines, plunging -2.2%, while the benchmark S&P 500 dropped -1.4%.  In contrast, the Dow Jones Industrial Average, which is less influenced by the tech sector, managed to withstand the worst of the pressure and closed down just -0.1%. What can investors expect when trading commences for Wednesday in about 7.5 hours time, now is 2pm Singapore time.  Another round ?

Replying to @CuritisCissie:Hi, thanks for reading my post and sharing your views. Agree with you, it might not be ideal to get involve in any buying until everything stabilizes down.  Trump needs the peace deal to be inked.  Otherwise, with a returning inflation, rising interest rate and now a tumbling market .. he's just able done for the rest of his remaining terms...//@CuritisCissie:That Google Cloud headline gave it a pop, but +7% into a weak tape is rough. If 14 breaks I’d rather stay out lol

On Mon, 22 Jun 2026 when both S&P 500 and Nasdaq fell -0.37% and -1.32% respectively, NOK bucked the trend and rose by +6.97% to close at $14.43 (see attached). This was driven by a major partnership with Google Cloud to integrate AI into its network software. However NOK is poised to fall just as the 3 major US indexes are set to fall big time across the board on Tuesday - DJIA (-1.16%), S&P 500 (-0.44%), Nasdaq (-2.08%). Brace yourself, its gonna be a bumpy ride this week as mentioned in my Tuesday pick post. Watch for it.. Tks.
