$Vault Minerals Ltd(VAU.AU)$ Took some profits off a big position. Not sure what short term catalysts will drive the next price action in gold so happy to reduce risk for now.
I have remained overweight gold this year and will continue accumulating on dips. The Iran War has delayed gold's bull run, but it is not over. The underpinning macro forces driving the bull run remain firmly in place and are yet to be resolved.
It's really hard to tell short term if a deal gets done. However, there is clearly appetite for rate hikes at the Fed and inflationary pressures are mounting. I definitely wouldn't write off rising interest rates yet, but I'm very long gold regardless. I don't see a medium term scenario where the gold price doesnt continue marching higher due to the grinding debasement of the USD.
$HAMMER METALS LTD(HMX.AU)$ With competing bids for a growing resource base, HMX offers an interesting merger arbitrage play. I expect LRV to win, but competitive tension always helps get a better price.
