$SanDisk Corp.(SNDK)$ SK Hynix announced they're building more memory chip fabrication capacity that won't be online until 2030, and Samsung's mega-fab won't be ready until 2028. Similarly, Micron's fab won't be online until 2028. That's assuming no delays. That's good news. It shows how long it takes to add significant capacity. This means even if the commodity-style cycle for memory chips continues, we likely won't see genuine pricing pressure for at least another two years. Of course, this assumes there's no major algorithmic breakthrough in AI architectures that would reduce memory requirements.

AMD's Super Cycle: Striving to Be the Best

$Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ Dr Lisa explains AMD is in a super cycle and in it not to be the only, but to be the best.“Yes. I think the main thing is, look, this is a computing super cycle, so we should all recognize that. And there is no one player or one architecture that's going to take over. I think this is a case where having the right compute for the right workload and the right application is super important. And that's what we have been working on building over the last five-plus years is to have the best CPU, GPU, FPGA, semi-custom capability, such that we can be the best computing partner to the ecosystem.”

$Intel(INTC)$ If it can drop 10-20 points just because building foundries cost money, it can go back up 10-20 when people realize once the foundries are complete, those expenses disappears.

$XPeng Inc.(XPEV)$ Wishful thinking will not move Xpev stock price, sales will. All EVs companies from China will report sales between today and Sunday for the month of August, and that's going to move the SP up or down. SP is up over 20% in less than a week just because they liked news about the CEO buying some shares. Be careful, the shares he bought represent less than 1/2 % of the shares he sold some time ago.

BABA's Strategic Rebound: Optimism Grows Amid New Plans and Challenges

$Alibaba(BABA)$ I'm going off memory of the conference call a few weeks ago, but I'm more optimistic than I have been for a long time. I still think management needs a lot work on their messaging, but they did at least articulate a strategy on the call...although it took the Q&A to coax some of it out of them and was a bit disjointed. Here's what i recall:-Grow GMV in domestic ecommerce business and institute a 0.6% vendor fee when vendors reach a target level. If successful, i believe this might eventually add $3B to net income, so at a P/E of 10, $30B to valuation.-Bring loss making businesses to break even as they come up to scale. International ecommerce drowns out the rest of the loss making businesses. This look
