Reflections on the December 26th Market Correction: Holding Steady Through Volatility

The recent market correction on December 26th came as no surprise after an extended bull run. While some traders may have felt compelled to react hastily, I took a more measured approach, opting to let most of my positions ride. My only notable action was buying back a Palantir (PLTR) sell put at $2.03, securing a modest but satisfying $10 profit. The trade, executed automatically while I was asleep, proved to be a stroke of luck—$2.03 turned out to be the day’s low, and the contract later rebounded to $2.58.

Today, I want to share my thoughts on the stocks I choose to buy and hold, reflecting on their long-term potential and the strategy behind my portfolio composition. CD

With strong fundamentals and ongoing advancements in AI and energy solutions, I see Tesla as a long-term winner in the sustainable transportation revolution$Tesla Motors(TSLA)$

Manulife Financial (MFC): A Steady Dividend Payer

Final Thoughts

As markets ebb and flow, my strategy remains focused on long-term growth, tempered with a mix of stability. The PLTR trade—a small win during a turbulent time—was a reminder of the importance of setting clear targets and trusting the process. With stocks like Disney, Tesla, Manulife, and Amazon anchoring my portfolio, I feel well-positioned to navigate future market shifts.
