Top Stock Picks: Strong Momentum & Oversold Opportunities

Sharing my picks target stocks exhibiting strong momentum and oversold conditions. After selection, assess for any negative news before proceeding.

Strong Uptrend: RSI between 50–70 signals strength without being overbought.

Breakout Signals: RSI above 55–60 indicates rising momentum.

Overbought Levels: RSI above 70 suggests a potential short-term pullback before further gains.

Divergence: If the stock price rises while RSI drops, it may indicate weakening momentum.

Short-Term (5-Day and 10-Day SMAs): If the stock price is below both the 5-day and 10-day SMAs, it signals potential short-term bearishness. If above, it suggests bullish momentum.

Medium-Term (50-Day SMA): A price above the 50-day SMA indicates a bullish medium-term trend.

Long-Term (200-Day SMA): A significant gap between the current price and the 200-day SMA reflects a strong long-term uptrend.

Moving Average (MA) with 4 Ticks: When the price is above the 5MA, 10MA, 50MA, and 200MA, it indicates strong bullish sentiment.

Volume Analysis: Unusually high volume during a sell-off may signal a trend reversal. High volume during a rally could suggest a new support level, presenting an opportunity to capitalize on a potential price decline in the coming days or weeks.

That’s trend for you… have you picked it up recently? Trend gives an indication of direction and human psychology. Momentum stocks like PLTR and NVDA could have high RSI for a long period without correcting. RSI just informed us that something is oversold or overbought but it doesn’t tell us when the correction will happen. It’s not unusual for a momentum stock to be overbought for a long time. Having said that, you can use trend to tell the reduction of momentum… which is very important. For example, if the momentum continues without moderation, we know that it is safe to trade the trend since a correction is not imminent. That’s other trend indicators that you have not incorporated into your table of reference. Nevertheless it is a good start…

More improvements needed as this table is not very reliable for trading. For example, momentum stocks like PLTR have an extremely high RSI but rarely decline. Some stocks have an RSI below 40 but never seem to rise. Others drop from a high RSI to neutral, signaling the start of a downtrend.
