Fate of the World & Magnificent 7
Every morning, I wake up and grab my iPhone, the first device in my day’s digital journey. I scroll through WhatsApp to catch up on messages, then indulge in a few Instagram Reels, scrolling through a mix of humor, trends, and inspiration. I take a quick detour to Google Maps, checking the best route to the office. It’s a brief but necessary step to avoid traffic chaos and ensure I’m on time. Then comes the familiar routine: opening my browser to skim through the latest news—whether it’s the stock market updates, global headlines, or just a quick search on things that pique my interest.
Once I’m at work, the real heavy lifting begins. I power up my computer, diving into the world of Microsoft Office Suite—spreadsheets, presentations, and reports. A Teams call comes in, and I’m right back into the loop of virtual meetings and collaboration. My emails need attention, and the SQL queries are waiting for me to pull the data I need for an upcoming report. Every piece of work I do, every file I create, gets stored somewhere in the cloud—Google’s cloud, iPhone’s cloud, and Amazon’s cloud for office-related reports.
It’s a seamless flow of digital life, consuming about 14 hours a day. And during the remaining time, I focus on the basics—eating, drinking, and the simple necessity of a shower. These are the core human experiences that balance out the intense digital rush.
What strikes me, though, is how interconnected everything is. All of these tools I use—WhatsApp, Instagram, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon—are part of the vast, global ecosystem that’s driven by the U.S. economy. These digital giants—Apple, Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Nvidia, and Tesla—are not just shaping my daily routine; they’re shaping the world.
As I work, play, and live, the money from all around the globe is flowing back to the U.S., fueling the economy and keeping these companies at the top of the food chain. The U.S. has become a magnet for global wealth, with every search, every app I open, and every cloud service I use contributing to the vast economic engine driving the country forward.
In my 14-hour digital life, I realize how interconnected we all are in this global web of technology. Each click, search, and cloud sync is not just a part of my day—it’s a part of the larger flow of capital and data that keeps the U.S. economy thriving. And in that realization, I see how small yet essential my daily habits are in this massive, digital ecosystem.
