yes, I believe UnitedHealth Group has the long‐term strength to merit investment. But proving that strength in the near term is the tougher ask. The upcoming earnings are likely to be a test of credibility. Growth in membership and Optum services will come through; the more challenging part is margin recovery and cost control. If management delivers a credible plan for dealing with utilization/cost trends and shows execution in Optum, this could be a stronger buying opportunity. If instead they simply re-iterate pressure without clear solutions, the stock likely remains underperforming.
