I recently evaluated my position on Netflix (NFLX) following its recent corporate restructuring and aggressive share buyback strategy. From a fundamental perspective, the company remains a dominant market leader. Management’s aggressive push to shrink the outstanding share count over the last few years demonstrates a strong commitment to boosting earnings per share (EPS) and driving long-term shareholder value.
However, despite these heavy buybacks and recent workforce cuts aimed at optimizing margins, the stock price has faced downward pressure. This near-term divergence suggests that the market may already have priced in the streaming growth narrative, leaving the equity temporarily vulnerable to macro headwinds. I am holding my position for now, watching for a stabilization floor before adding more.
