2025 wasn’t too bad for me overall. I managed to catch the AI rally, which did most of the heavy lifting for my portfolio and helped me stay ahead of the broader market. Looking back, the biggest lesson wasn’t about picking themes, but about execution. My main mistake was greed. I didn’t lock in enough profits when I should have, and during major pullbacks I ended up giving back a meaningful portion of what were once very solid gains. It was a good reminder that managing exits and risk matters just as much as being right on the trend. For 2026, my goal is simple: catch a major trend and ride it with more discipline. I’m especially hoping one of my core holdings, Tesla $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$

🌙 Year End Note — 31 Dec 2025 Remember March & April 2025 This year taught something important. In March and April, many of us saw how fast money can disappear. Years of saving can vanish in just 20 market days. And then, the market came back in one single day. But if we were not holding our positions on that day, our gains did not come back. The lesson is simple: • Do not panic • Do not sell out of fear • Crashes are normal • If you can, add more when prices fall • If you cannot add, it is okay to wait and do nothing And one rule to remember: Never hold positions with 1.5× leverage. It can break everything you built. ⸻ Going into 2026 Carry these thoughts: • Keep some cash always • Stay patient • Small smart steps → big results later

🌟🌟🌟My core strategy of Dollar Cost Averaging into index ETFs such as $SPDR Portfolio S&P 500 ETF(SPYM)$ and $STI ETF(ES3.SI)$ have done well as these ETFs have hit their all time highs this year. My 2026 Investment Goal is simple: Continue to dollar cost average into these index ETFs as investing is a marathon, not a sprint. The power of an index ETF lies in its elegant simplicity.  By doing so, I gain exposure to a wide range of companies, at a low cost with  minimum fuss.  Slow and Steady Wins The Race 🥰🥰🥰🌈🌈🌈💰💰💰 Cheers to a Prosperous, Simple and Incredibly Profitable 2026 Everyone 🥰🥰🥰🎊🎊🎊💰💰💰

Steady Compounding, Quiet Confidence: My 2025 Investment Reflection

Portfolio 2025 Performance - Total Profit: SGD 86,000 (an 18% gain)   - Dividends Received (YTD): SGD 26,000   Looking ahead, I anticipate a more moderate return in 2026—approximately 10% total, split evenly between 5% from dividends and 5% from capital appreciation. Strategy & Context: Riding the Fed Cycle   The attached performance chart begins in January 2022—the start of my deliberate, full-cycle investment campaign. The core idea was simple yet disciplined: capitalize on the U.S. Federal Reserve’s interest rate hike and subsequent cut cycle. When the Fed began aggressively raising rates, dividend-paying stocks—particularly in Singapore and Hong Kong—declined in price. At the time, I didn’t know the hikes would be "higher for longer," but that very unc

Within the Tiger community, the tone is generally more conservative than WSB. Trades are usually thesis-driven, anchored in earnings, macro trends, and risk control, rather than pure momentum or leverage-heavy speculation. Overlap with top U.S. stocks was naturally high this year. Megacaps dominated returns, liquidity, and narratives, especially around AI and rates. Holding these names was less about herd behaviour and more about seeking the best risk-adjusted exposure in a narrow market. Looking into the new year, following WSB blindly is risky, but dismissing it entirely is also unwise. WSB can surface early momentum and sentiment extremes, which are useful as signals. The disciplined approach is to observe, filter, and size positions carefully, not to copy trades. The edge going forw

I am definitely a conservative investor as I prefer to manage my risks and try to minimise major drops in my portfolio. However, an exception to that would be my investment in HK and China stocks as these tend to be volatile and without reason. This stems from my conviction that China would eventually be the world’s top economy given their expertise and population size. For US stocks, my main investments are in ETFs rather than individual stocks as I tend to buy and hold and the proven safe strategy would be to invest in ETFs instead of individual stocks. Of course, my US ETFs have done well as these top 10 stocks are easily part of the underlying holdings for most ETFs, just that returns are definitely not as good. In the new year, I think I would still continue to stick to my strategy
