My giving CDC vouchers will only add to inflation. Across the whole island of Singapore, from small convenience store to big supermarkets, all of them increased the price for all items. Who don't want to earn the Gov money? Same goes to GST.. When Gov up 1% to 8% food stalls up their food by $0.5 to $1.. Our Gov again increased GST again by 1% to 9%, food stalls again increased by 0.5 to 1%. Have anyone seen prices drop after they increased??😁😁

The CDC vouchers, while good efforts from the government, are too immaterial to curb the impact of inflation over a long period of time. Seem to be an initiative to please the public and improve public perception rather than a proper financial mean.

Coping with Inflation: How Tiger Brokers' Stock and Cash Vouchers Help Me Stay Ahead

Inflation can feel like an ever-growing burden, eating away at your purchasing power and making everything a little more expensive. But one of the ways I’ve been able to ease some of that pressure is through the stock and cash vouchers offered by Tiger Brokers. By earning Tiger Coins through various activities on the platform, I've been able to redeem them for vouchers that significantly help me cope with rising prices. Tiger Brokers offers an array of fun and easy ways to earn Tiger Coins, which can later be redeemed for stock and cash vouchers. Some of these activities are as simple as logging into the app daily, viewing a handful of trade feeds, or engaging with the community by liking posts and sharing my own thoughts. For example, completing daily tasks such as sharing three posts or

Subsidies or rebates on utilities and transport serve its objective well.  Top up medisave is indeed a v wise strategy in helping young n old cope with rising medical and hospital expenses and premium. I would rather government gives cash than CDC Vouchers. There are black market where people sold their $300 CDC voucher at 10% discount for cash. These are the people that are in need of money and not vouchers. They might need it for their medical bills or transportation or things that CDC vouchers cannot do for them. These are the people that government should take good care of them and understand their needs. Or try to understand what matter more to them and not vouchers. I dislike that supermarket vouchers are in denomination of $10. Why can’t they give it in $5 where it is easier for purchase? Maybe that’s why older folks sold theirs in black market. I don’t think it is an effective way to combat inflation. I will never be able to enjoy the incentives provided by NTUC eg spending $60

They are stimulatory measures. They basically ‘force’ Singaporeans to spend instead of cash which may be just sitting in the bank accounts. I personally prefer cash but vouchers would be better for the economy. Spending at the hawker centres using the CDC vouchers instead of eating at more expensive options like restaurants would be helpful to cut cost. Minimising waste like not wasting water, electricity and food would be helpful too. Very important to spend within one’s own means.

Do Government Vouchers Benefit Your Life?

Government vouchers have undoubtedly made a positive impact on my family and me. Various forms of financial assistance, such as Community Development Council (CDC) Vouchers and Cost-of-Living (COL) Special Payments, have been instrumental in reducing our cost of living in Singapore, particularly during these times of high inflation. The rising prices of goods and services have made it increasingly difficult to stretch a dollar, and these vouchers provide a welcome relief. That said, while vouchers are useful, I personally prefer certain types of government support over others. Specifically, I tend to favor cash payouts over vouchers. This preference stems from the flexibility that cash provides. With cash, I have the freedom to decide exactly how to allocate the funds according to my famil

S$300 CDC Vouchers! Is It an Effective Way to Combat Inflation?

Inflation and sluggish consumption have been hot topics in recent years. To ease the financial burden on citizens while promoting economic growth, governments have introduced various policies. When dealing with inflation, one of the most frequently discussed solutions is distributing money in different ways, and the Singapore government seems no exception.Vouchers, subsidies, or appliance discounts: Which is better? For example, over the past two years, the Singapore government has consistently provided financial assistance to citizens, with the total amount last year reaching S$1.9 billion. In addition to direct cash distributions, there are utility rebates and transportation subsidies. In China, the government subsidizes large household appliances by 15%-20%. I think the CDC vouchers are a great initiative from the Singapore government, as they directly help ease the financial burden on households while supporting local businesses. The expansion of participating vendors, including more affordable meal options, makes these vouchers even more valuable. It’s a practical way for the government to assist its citizens while boosting the local economy. As for the government strategies, I prefer a combination of direct cash assistance & targeted subsidies. Direct financial help, like the CDC vouchers provides immediate relief. At the same time, offering subsidies for essentials like utilities & transportation can ease ongoing living costs. To cope with high inflation, I prioritize budgeting, cut back on non-essential spending & look for sal

$ocbc bank(O39.SI)$  Government strategies of giving CDC vouchers are not effective to fight inflation and high costs of living. What the government should have done is to stop increasing GST, give out monthly payouts based on type of flats and income. Without the rise of GST, there won't be a domino effects on all the basic necessities increased in price. The government should also STOP INCREASING PUBLIC TRANSPORT fares and Medical costs.  We feel we are being "slowly strangled" subtlely. Though we should be grateful to our government for giving our CDC and transport vouchers, but these are not enough to cover the increases daily on everything we need to use. This is causing us to go to Jb to get our basic ne
