$Berkshire Hathaway(BRK.B)$  Now that I only own $BRKB via Berkshire Hathaway, Whenever I make an investment, I write down this: 1. The reason I bought it. - It is a diversified business of over 60 companies as subsidiaries. - It has over 40 stocks in investments & dividends as returns. - Main purposes of owning it is not to have best returns but to have minimum risk of me losing my money long term. - It has outperformed S&P 500 long run. - It is recession proof company (able to be defensive/aggressive according to economy). - It is cash cow loaded with exceeding 300B in upcoming quarter. 2. The valuation - As I bought almost at premium price average, $469.5, it stands to near 1.65 book value. - Average

1️⃣ Single Share Trades in the Market Jungle 1️⃣ In the dense thicket of market activity, the curious phenomenon of single share trades often leaves investors scratching their heads. Who, indeed, would purchase just one share? While conspiracy theories abound in the darker corners of the internet, the truth behind these trades is far less dramatic. Reasons Behind Single Share Trades: 1. Order Splitting: A single order may be divided across multiple price points. For instance, an order for 100 shares might see 99 shares filled at one price and the remaining share at a slightly different price. 2. Algorithmic Trading: Brokers employ algorithms to execute large orders without disrupting the market. Breaking up orders into smaller parcels, sometimes as little as a single share, helps avoid si

How Bank of Japan decides the liquidity?

In the history, the Bank of Japan has often been ambiguous in its attitude towards policy shifts, allowing the market to digest expectations on its own but without providing a clear timetable. Policy shifts are often "unexpected yet reasonable." $Japanese Yen - Mar 2024(JPY2403)$ $Japanese Yen - main 2406(JPYmain)$ $iShares MSCI Japan ETF(EWJ)$ The long-term loose policy has led to the monetization of the fiscal deficit, distortion of government bond prices, and depreciation of the yen. In recent years, as the growth momentum of the Japanese economy gradually recovers and inflation levels warm up, the subjective and objective conditions for the Bank of J

11 march 2024: inflation data this week to drive stock market this week

I certainly do not think the us stock market has peaked yet though pricing at this level is a double edged sword. The momentum is good on the upside but chasing at this level requires shrewd analysis with the selection of fundamentally strong businesses. My personal take is inflation data should be either in line with expectations or weaker than expected, bringing both dollar index down and us stocks up further. Naturally to think in a singular direction is risky as over sizing at this level into us stocks could mean one may get overly emotional when stocks swing the other end.  I used to think that chasing us stocks at relatively high level does not make sense which makes the buying of cheaper Chinese stocks a relatively safer approach. This thinking technically wasn't wrong in 2000

End of the day, it's your hard earned money and what you want to do with it.  Hi, it's Dan again. When it comes to investing or trading, there's never a straightforward answer.  I have looked several strategies as you call it, but fundamentally it boils down to a few main points and I have listed them below.  * do not that these my own opinion for educational/entertainment purposes. Please carry out your own diligence when investing, always.  1. How much do you have to invest?  When I say how much, it's all relative. Let's look at some examples: i. Students - assuming you are a student solely relying on allowances from your parents, you probably don't have alot to slush around, after attending to your basic and social needs. Current market mentality: 1. Nvidia Stock is UP: S&P 500 goes to new all time high 2. Nvidia Stock is FLAT: S&P 500 goes to new all time high 3. Nvidia Stock is DOWN: S&P 500 falls just 30 points Yesterday, Nvidia marked its largest percentage drop since May 31st, 2023. It also marked the single largest loss of market cap in day for $NVDA, at $128 billion. Yet, the S&P 500 fell just 30 points after a 27% run in 4 months. Since Nvidia, $NVDA, bottomed on October 27th, the S&P 500 is up exactly 1,000 points. Is this the most resilient market of all time$S&P 500(.SPX)$ $NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$
