Marvell Technology Crash over 60% In 2025, Is It A Buy Now?

$Marvell Technology(MRVL)$ Marvell Technology is one of those companies that sits right at the crossroads of two massive forces: the unstoppable rise of semiconductors and the growing storm of geopolitical tension between the U.S. and China. It’s a fabless semiconductor firm, meaning it designs chips but doesn’t manufacture them. And that business model has worked well in many cases—but today, the dynamics are changing fast. So in this article, we’re going to break down Marvell’s business model, its financial health, and how exposed it is to geopolitical risk. We’ll also go deep into valuation—using a discounted cash flow model to determine what the stock is really worth—and see if it makes sense to buy the stock today. Understanding Marvell's Bus

I started in 2012 swingtrading shares with $5000The first stocks I bought were $Apple(AAPL)$ $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ I bought this because I like the companies and I really loved the vision of the CEOsApple was $220 back then before all the splitsAmazon was $233 Tesla was $60In 2013 I started options and luckily turned $2000 into $24,000 within 2 weeks when I invested in Apple options right before the bigger phone came out when my brother had told me they were gonna come out with a new phone. SPX - Gap and Bearish Reversal Candle

$S&P 500(.SPX)$ - Gap and Bearish Reversal Candle: The 20DMA was momentarily breached, but the rally faded. Still closing in the green, this setup usually brings bearish continuation, which is good, because based on the recent explosions in percentage of stocks rising, this would bring a buying opportunity. This is the perfect candle ahead of any government's communication.PS: The recent violent market action is characteristic of a bear market. Despite this, the rapid recovery from Monday's selloff was impressive, even considering today's bearish candle that hints at an imminent gap fill. Crucially, two events suggest that any subsequent dip or selloff would present a buying opportunity.Image For whom haven't open CBA can know more from below:🏦

Tesla’s Bizarre Justification for Testing in Austin

Here is the most bizarre part of $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ yesterday's conference call "I mean in very basic terms, if that -- if we're seeing an accident every 10,000 miles, well, then you have to drive 10,000 miles on average before you get in an accident or an intervention. So it's like okay. I mean we must be really -- you don't have to be very worked up by the sheer number of Teslas doing in Austin right now. We like it's going to look pretty bizarre. There's just always a convoy of Teslas going -- just going all over to Austin in circles. But yes, I just can't emphasize this enough. In order to get a figure on the long-tail things, it's 1 in 10,000, that says 1 in 20,000 miles or 1 in 30,000. The average person drives 10,000 miles in a year. So no

Pricing power is essential for long term compounding

Pricing power is essential for long term compounding. I look for 3 things:1. High margins - is the company adding a large up to what they sell? (High profit margins (so gross profit, operating profit and FCF margins) and low expense margins (so low COGS, OPEX, CAPEX and R&D margins))2. Market share - if the company has the market share, then there’s no alternatives for customers to pick from.3. Their customer’s income statement - if the product or service is a low expense for the customer, then they’re unlikely to cut back on buying it during a downturn. What would you add?For whom haven't open CBA can know more from below:🏦 Open a CBA today and enjoy privileges of up to SGD 20,000 in trading limit with 0 commission. I definitely prefer Keppel dc reit although it is more focused on data centres. In the longer term, I believe the need for data centres will grow with increased focus on data, AI and technology for all things. Yet, land is limited in Singapore and I don’t think we will see many more data centres being built. Limited supply with increased demand is good for Keppel DC. Till that day comes, I will be happy collecting dividends which beats any fixed deposit[Miser] @Kaixiang @Fenger1188 @Wayneqq @DiAngel @SPOT_ON

SPX rally is CORRECTIVE

$S&P 500(.SPX)$ failed to close above 5386 avoiding a bullish inversion on the Daily and making it clear this rally is CORRECTIVE.This keeps the bearish triangle potential intact suggesting further coiling before the breakdown to 4600-4400 - favored with a Daily close below 5277.However, we could just modestly cross the 5485 high to then begin the next wave down - technically there is upside potential to 5685-5750, though that is optimistic as the low 5500s is stiff resistance.Overall, today's price action made it even more clear that the rally is corrective and it is just a matter of time before the next major leg lower begins. $SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$

Is the Vanguard Consumer Discretionary ETF Still in Style?

There’s something paradoxical about investing in consumer discretionary stocks. They’re called 'non-essentials,' yet include some of the most iconic and influential businesses of our time—from Amazon to McDonald’s, from Tesla to $Home Depot(HD)$. It’s a sector where shifting tastes, macro swings, and disruptive innovation collide, often with dramatic results. The Vanguard Consumer Discretionary ETF (VCR) offers investors broad, low-cost exposure to these companies. As of April 2025, it carries an expense ratio of just 0.10%—making it one of the most cost-efficient options in its category. Yet despite this structural advantage, VCR has seen $310 million in net outflows this year, reflecting investors’ caution amid market turbulence. From carts to clo

Trump 🤝 Fed: Will You Bet on S&P Big Rebound or EM Markets?

Yesterday, the market was greeted with three pieces of positive news in quick succession.Trump hinted at a major shift in the trade war, saying that tariffs on Chinese goods would be “significantly reduced — though not to zero.”Trump told reporters he never intended to fire Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell.US Treasury Secretary Bessent signaled a softer stance on tariffs during a closed-door meeting hosted by JPMorgan in Washington, suggesting that trade tensions may ease.A Big Bounce Coming for US Stocks?According to Emma Wu, a global quantitative and derivatives strategist at JPMorgan, retail investors net bought $2.2 billion worth of stocks as of Monday, well above the one-month average. So, is the market gearing up for a meaningful rally? LMT, RTX, NOC - US market's Recession hedge ?

US stocks finished sharply higher on Tue, 22 Apr 2025: On rising optimism that trade tensions between US and China could soon ease. That’s according to US Treasury Secretary. When Trump confirmed that he has no plan to fire Fed chair, Powell. (see below) What Bessent Said ? At a closed-door event hosted by JPMorgan Chase, Treasury Secretary Bessent told investors that he expects de-escalation in the trade spat with China, as first reported by Bloomberg. Firstly, this is only what Bessent “expected” unilaterally. Since 11 Apr 2025, both China and the US have signaled openness to talks, but actual negotiations have not yet restarted. Both sides are waiting for the other to take concrete steps to create the right conditions for dialogue. In short, it would be ‘foolish’ to pin too much hope ov

Tesla Earnings – Presidential Support

Tesla really lives up to its status as a “presidential stock”—even the earnings release got a presidential boost. After Tuesday’s close, Tesla reported earnings, and then Trump just happened to announce after hours that he won’t fire Powell and will lower tariffs on China.Remember, Trump previously made a big show of announcing “buy DJT” at the open and then, intraday, announced a 90-day tariff freeze. This time, making the announcement after hours looks an awful lot like he was giving his old friend a hand.Of course, being Trump, he couldn’t hold back—he had Bessent come out at noon Tuesday to talk up the China ADRs, sending them higher during the session.Normally, an intraday leak is enough for the market to price things in, but institutions stayed rational—options volume didn’t spike, i

Rethinking Wealth and Life: Reflections on "Die With Zero: Getting All You Can from Your Money and Your Life" by Bill Perkins

One book that truly shifted my perspective on money and life is Die With Zero: Getting All You Can from Your Money and Your Life by Bill Perkins. As part of my reflection, one sentence that captures the impact of the book on me is: "The book helped me see that managing money wisely also means knowing when and how to spend it to truly enjoy life." It challenged many of the conventional ideas I had absorbed about financial planning, especially the popular mantra of "save, save, invest, invest," and the pursuit of FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early). What stood out to me is how the book emphasizes the idea that life is not just about accumulating wealth—it's about using that wealth to create meaningful experiences while we’re still healthy enough to enjoy them. The book makes a compel
