I'm an ISTF investor, a paradox of data and intuition. As a true Introvert, I trust my own research more than any public forum, spending quiet hours building my long-term thesis. I am a Sensing type, grounded in clear fundamentals. For stable companies like OCBC, SMFG, and TSMC, my Thinking side is analytical and decisive. I rely on balance sheets, dividend payouts, and an Excel model to make planned, methodical investments. But there is another side to my portfolio. With companies like Nvidia, my Feeling side takes over. I become a momentum trader, following the vibe and energy of the market. I study the charts and social sentiment, feeling when a breakout is about to happen. While my head tells me to be cautious, my gut tells me when to act. It's a blend of logic and instinct, defining

📈 Big Rebound After Jackson Hole: What's Next?

Powell's dovish pivot at Jackson Hole lit a fire under risk assets. Traders now price a 90% chance of a September Fed cut, and U.S. equities + crypto both bounced hard. The question: does this rebound have legs into next week? 🔎 Macro Set-Up Fed & Yields: Dovish tone fuels “risk-on,” but upcoming jobs data + CPI could test optimism. Seasonality: Late August is choppy, but September often brings volatility before Q4 rallies. Geopolitics: Ukraine/Russia talks and U.S. election headlines remain wildcards. 📊 Index Predictions (Next Week) S&P 500 (SPY $645.31) Range: $635–655. Bullish scenario: Break $655 → upside toward $662. Bearish scenario: Lose $635 → retest $625. Nasdaq 100 (QQQ $571.97) Range: $562–580. Bullish case: If NVDA/AI megacaps keep momentum, test $585 possible. Bearish

🚀 IPO Watch: Figma, Bullish & CoreWeave – Where's the Edge?

Yesterday's V-shaped market rebound gave fresh life to the newest IPOs: Figma ($77.6) → steady climb as SaaS demand holds. Bullish ($70.3) → high beta crypto exchange play, moving with BTC/ETH. CoreWeave ($94.8) → still sliding, shadowing Nvidia's volatility. 🔎 Macro Drivers Fed Dovish Pivot → lower yields fuel appetite for high-growth IPOs. AI Cycle → CoreWeave remains tethered to Nvidia earnings (Aug 27). Crypto Sentiment → Bullish trades as a proxy on Bitcoin ($4.7K). 🎯 Outlook Next Week Figma ($FIGM): Range $75–82. Bullish above $82 → room to $88. Bullish ($BULL): Choppy in $68–74. BTC > $118K could send it past $75. CoreWeave ($CRWV): Key level $90. Breaks below → risk $85. Hold above → rebound toward $100–105. ✅ Takeaway Each IPO tells a different story: Figma → steady SaaS growth

Powell’s remarks at Jackson Hole were a clear dovish shift. By flagging rising downside risks to employment, he’s signalling that the Fed is prepared to pivot from a singular inflation focus to a more balanced stance. The adoption of a flexible inflation-targeting framework reinforces that message, effectively giving policymakers more room to cut without being boxed in by the old “make-up” approach. From a trading perspective, the market’s reaction was justified—equities and crypto ripping higher as September cuts are now seen as a 90% probability, with two reductions priced in by year-end. The real question is whether this momentum can sustain. If inflation cools further, the Fed has cover to ease and risk assets should continue to outperform. But if inflation stays sticky, the market may

Had them for quite a while and price were mostly muted. Just this week, ahead of earnings on 2nd Sept, NIO price jumped almost 32% to close at $6.32. Since the sold price of $4 were due to covered call expiring on 22nd Aug, decided to not roll this up else risking price retracement and take up double losses. Capital recycled will be use to support other trade and time to move on from NIO.

I’m proud to see Singapore leaders like Tan Su Shan and Forrest Li on Fortune’s list. Tan Su Shan’s 28th place is a big milestone, surpassing global heavyweights and showing Singapore’s influence in banking. With Helen Wong also featured last year, it’s clear our banking leaders are gaining global recognition. Jensen Huang’s rise to #1 is well-deserved given Nvidia’s role in powering the AI boom. Still, my top pick will remain Elon Musk. Despite controversies, he continues to disrupt multiple industries from EVs to space, proving his influence goes beyond just one sector. Musk’s boldness and ambition still set him apart from many of his peers. For me, Musk is the most influential leader because of his vision and execution. Lists like this are also useful for investors, as they highlight t

The short calls were profitable while some of these short puts setup need trade adjustment to buy some time and avoid assignment.  Overall at counter level, it's a losing week based on the latest price movement.

If you have been following the news on Chinese consumers, we have not been seeing a very strong recovery to the previous spending level. So whether the consumer spending might boost $Alibaba(BABA)$ or $PDD Holdings Inc(PDD)$ earnings, we might want to look at the sentiment and trends.
