🎁Reward: S&P 500 at New Highs: Bull Run or Pullback?

The $S&P 500(.SPX)$ just hit another record high! 📈 On August 13, the S&P 500 closed at 7,798.99, marking a new record closing high. U.S. stocks have continued to rally recently, with AI and tech stocks leading the gains. At the same time, cooling inflation has eased some concerns about further rate hikes from the Federal Reserve. But here's the big question— With the market hitting new highs, are we seeing more opportunities, or are risks starting to build? What do you think is next for U.S. stocks? Share your views around the following topics: 💡 Topic 1|How High Can the S&P 500 Go? How much more upside do you think the S&P 500 has this year?8,000? 8,500? 🎁Reward: S&P 500 at New Highs: Bull Run or Pullback?
TOPMHh: #S&P 500 Hits Another Record High! Time to Chase the Rally or Stay Cautious? The S&P 500 has been hitting record highs for a few years now. Considering this bull run has lasted for years against a backdrop of the war in the Middle East does get me worried. Although the inflation numbers has been reassuring, the job market and retail spending has started to cool which makes me think that the bull is due to market optimism on a reduced rate hike probability rather than being supported by actual economy. At this point, I definitely won't chase high as the risk has heightened and potential room for benefit has reduced. I would prefer to wait for a pullback. As an investor with the long term view, I prefer to the dollar cost averaging approach with a preference to add more positions at a lower price and holding off addition of positions when the cost is high in situations like now. In the longer term, I am still optimistic on AI and technology and these sectors will offer outsized returns. As a busy investor, I am opted to just buy ETFs like SMH as I think it is too early to identify sure winners for now and to also minimise the volatility to my portfolio. Another ETF that I like is VTI as it allows me to buy the world's index with minimal homework needed and helps keep me on track with my investment goals with a great diversity of sectors. @SR050321 @HelenJanet @SPOT_ON @LuckyPiggie @DiAngel @Success88 @Kaixiang @Fenger1188 @Universe宇宙 @Wayneqq come join

$Direxion Daily MU Bull 2X Shares(MUU)$ I'm continuing to average down my position in $MUU because I believe the recent correction has pushed the 2x Micron ETF much closer to a potential bottoming zone. The selloff has been painful, especially given MUU's leverage, but I see it more as a valuation reset than a breakdown in the underlying Micron story. Micron recently reported record fiscal Q3 revenue of $41.46 billion and guided for another record $50 billion in fiscal Q4 revenue, showing that the fundamental earnings momentum remains exceptionally strong. The second reason I'm staying bullish is the structural AI-driven demand for memory. HBM, DRAM and NAND remain critical to the AI infrastructure buildout, while Micron has already started hi

The Accounts Got Sold. The Blueprint Rose 13.67 Per Cent

Hello. The last of this week's AI hardware papers came in overnight, and both were sold. $Applied Materials(AMAT)$ earned US$3.50 a share, ahead of forecasts, grew revenue 25 per cent year on year, said AI-related demand hit a record, and guided next-quarter revenue above Wall Street expectations. It closed down 2.48 per cent and fell another 5.13 per cent after hours, to US$507.11. $Coherent(COHR)$ was starker. Its report the previous evening beat on both lines — earnings of US$1.74 a share against US$1.6474 expected, revenue of US$2.046 billion against US$2.025 billion — and it closed down 7.99 per cent yesterday at US$327.23, giving back the whole of the prior day's 8.24
The Accounts Got Sold. The Blueprint Rose 13.67 Per Cent
TOP北极篂: I think the recent phenomenon of "performance exceeding expectations but falling" such as AMAT and Cisco is actually very worthy of vigilance. It is not that the market does not recognize the fundamentals, but the good news has been reflected in the stock price in advance. When the valuation is already high, what investors want is not just to "exceed expectations", but to significantly exceed expectations.

Weekly Valuation Watch : Free Cash Flow at Mega-Cap Stocks Is Sending Warning Signals

What deserves the most attention in the U.S. equity market this week is not the movement of the S&P 500 Index itself, but rather the structural changes taking place within the index. From a valuation perspective, the S&P 500’s overall price-to-earnings ratio remains at a relatively elevated level. Valuations in information technology, real estate, industrials, health care, and other sectors are all materially above the broader market, indicating that U.S. equities as a whole still lack a clear valuation cushion. From a fund-flow perspective, SPY has recorded cumulative net inflows of approximately USD 21.6 billion since July, but fund-flow divergence across sectors has become increasingly pronounced. Capital is not simply leaving the equity market; rather, it is being reallocated a

[Earnings Recap] AMAT Beat Earnings — So Why Did the Stock Fall 5%?

Applied Materials beat expectations and issued a strong AI-driven outlook, but still fell after hours. Tapestry sank nearly 17% as investors focused on weak growth at Kate Spade and a cautious sales forecast. $Applied Materials(AMAT)$ -5% after hours Applied Materials reported quarterly revenue of $9.12 billion, above Wall Street’s $8.99 billion estimate. The chip-equipment maker also guided for next-quarter revenue of about $10.25 billion, well ahead of the $9.54 billion consensus, while adjusted EPS guidance of $4.02 topped expectations of $3.69. AI spending remains the main driver. Applied now expects advanced-packaging revenue to grow more than 70% in 2026, up from its previous forecast of more than 50%, as chipmakers keep investing in DRAM, l

AI Money Is Rotating — Not Leaving: Optical, Cloud, Storage or Software

The current US stock market resembles a multi-faceted seesaw of optical, cloud, software, and hardware. Money hasn't truly left AI, but it's been constantly shifting between these sectors. The most typical example is the past two days. On the 12th, after Lumentum's earnings report, optical communications once again became the market focus. $Lumentum(LITE)$ 's latest quarterly revenue was $1.01 billion, a year-over-year increase of 109%. The midpoint of its next quarterly revenue guidance is around $1.25 billion, and management continues to emphasize the demand for high-speed optical connections in AI data centers. On the same day, CRWV and NBIS also performed strongly. $CoreWeave, Inc.(CRWV)$ 's second-qu

Beginner guide to reelshorts stock Tiger Brokers | Market Rebound: Rally or Pullback? Capture potential opportunities. Stay Flexible with Options

📱 Col Global (300364) – Can This ReelShort Company Turn Views Into Profits? When I look at Col Global Co., Ltd. (SZSE: 300364), I see one of the more interesting speculative stories in China’s entertainment and digital-media space. The company has attracted attention because of its connection to the booming short-drama / ReelShort-style industry, where viewers watch vertical episodes on mobile phones and often pay for additional episodes through micro-transactions. The stock is currently trading around RMB 24.46 with a market capitalization of roughly RMB 17.8 billion, yet the financial statements show a company that is still losing money. That contrast—high market value versus negative earnings—is exactly why investors are debating whether this is the next big media platform or simply a h

Now it's time for Defense? US Missile Stocks Are Running Low: The Next Defense Trade Is Restocking

Defense stocks have already rallied on higher budgets, Europe rearmament, drones and missile defense.$RTX Corp(RTX)$$Lockheed Martin(LMT)$$Northrop Grumman(NOC)$$Boeing(BA)$ The next theme may be simpler: the US needs to rebuild missile inventories. Recent conflicts have turned a long-known production gap into an urgent supply problem. Citrini Research notes that US missile and interceptor use over a five-month period exceeded any full year since the Gulf War. Air defense is the clearest case.
