Xiaomi jumps nearly 7% post-earnings. Time for a turnaround?

Today, $小米集团-W(01810)$ stock price surged, at one point rising over 5%, driven by a surprising counter-trend growth in its smartphone business gross margin. Previously, against the backdrop of high memory prices and a pressured consumer terminal market, market expectations for Xiaomi's smartphone business were relatively low. After the earnings report was released, the numbers showed that Xiaomi's smartphone revenue declined 7.5% year-over-year, and shipments also decreased significantly by 26.5% compared to the same period last year. However, the primary reason for this was the company's optimization of its product mix, which involved cutting shipments of mid-to-low-end models. The effects of this product premiumization strategy
Xiaomi jumps nearly 7% post-earnings. Time for a turnaround?
TOPInvesting Leon: Xiaomi has indeed made solid progress in its premiumization strategy, and the latest earnings show a clear increase in its exposure to higher-end products. However, the outlook for future growth is still not particularly optimistic, as Xiaomi’s transition toward the premium segment is not yet fully complete.

[Earnings Recap] Baidu Crashes 13%, La-Z-Boy Sinks 16% — Earnings Season Isn’t Over Yet

Tuesday delivered several sharp earnings moves. Baidu was the biggest high-profile loser as its advertising business weakened, while Amer Sports gained on another strong quarter. After the bell, La-Z-Boy plunged and Keysight bounced on a beat-and-raise report. $Klarna Group plc(KLAR)$-23% Klarna is a Swedish fintech company best known for “buy now, pay later” payment services. Klarna reported Q2 revenue of $1.04 billion, up 27% year over year, while the company swung to a $9 million net profit, better than expectations for a loss. GMV rose 18% to $36.6 billion, with U.S. GMV growing 27%. The problem was guidance. Klarna cut its 2026 revenue forecast to $4.08 billion–$4.16 billion, down from $4.34 billion previously, and lowered GMV guidance to $14

POLL>>🪙 | 💰 31 US Stocks Hit New Highs: BAC, MRK, TD, SCHW, BMO,...

💬 Join the discussion: Vote in our poll below and share your take in the comments — every useful comment earns Tiger Coins! 🎁 Thirty-one U.S. stocks with market caps above $10 billion are trading at fresh all-time highs as of August 14, 2026. The top 10 are dominated by banking — spanning U.S. money-center and super-regional lenders, Canadian money-center banks, discount brokerage/wealth management, and global custody banking — alongside one large-cap pharmaceutical name in oncology and cardiopulmonary biopharma. This concentration points to a broad-based bank earnings supercycle (double-digit EPS growth across trading, fee income, and net interest income), a wave of positive operating leverage at the major Canadian banks, and continued pipeline-driven re-rating in large-cap pharma as the
POLL>>🪙 | 💰 31 US Stocks Hit New Highs: BAC, MRK, TD, SCHW, BMO,...
TOP苏36: If I had to pick one stock from the list, I'd choose Charles Schwab (SCHW). What makes Schwab interesting is that this is more than a traditional bank trade. It benefits from rising client assets, stronger trading activity and growing banking revenue. Q2 revenue reached a record $7.1B, up 21% YoY, while adjusted EPS jumped 42%. I also like BNY as a second choice because its custody and asset-servicing business gives it a different growth engine from traditional lenders. That said, I wouldn't chase every bank at all-time highs. Earnings momentum is real, but valuations are also moving higher. A pullback could offer a much better risk/reward entry. My vote: A — U.S. Banks & Brokers. My pick: SCHW. 30-day dark horse: BNY. The bank rally still has fuel, but from here, stock selection matters more than simply buying the sector. @TigerPicks [财迷]

S&P 500 Path to 8,000: Navigating Short-Term Consolidation and Strategic Sector Allocation

Major Wall Street institutions like $JPMorgan Chase(JPM)$ JPMorgan and $Goldman Sachs(GS)$ Goldman Sachs (along with $Morgan Stanley(MS)$ Morgan Stanley) have lifted their targets for the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ S&P 500 toward the 8,000 milestone. Yet, retail investors are grappling with recent index pullbacks and localized volatility. Wall Street's 8,000 Call: Top-Down Bullishness vs. Short-Term Reality Wall Street equity strategists set index targets using macro fundamentals—primarily corporate earnings per share (EPS) and price-to-earnings (P/E) valuation multiples. The move toward an 8,000 S&P 500 target rests on thre

TOPwindy00: I get the 8000 case, but retail usually gets chopped up waiting for that macro story to land. I'd trust it more after SPX clears the prior highs cleanly.

$META $AMD and $QQQ Are Showing Signs of a Short Term Reset

The broader market structure remains bullish, but several major names are now showing signs that a short-term pullback could be coming. Rather than chasing strength, the current strategy is to stay patient and wait for better entries. 👀 $Meta Platforms, Inc.(META)$ continues to compress, with price now back inside what I consider the optimal smart-money buying zone. The setup is becoming more interesting, but confirmation is still needed. $Advanced Micro Devices(AMD)$ is behaving as expected. 📊 The daily chart continues to print lower highs while repeatedly rejecting the institutional sell zone. I still expect the stock could see roughly a 20% decline before establishing a meaningful bounce. If that happen

S&P500 Skids Under Rising Bond Yields: What Should Investors Do?

🌟🌟🌟The post earnings carnival has hit a massive wall of global reality.  The S&P500 slipped 0.69% while the tech heavy Nasdaq 100 tumbled 1.33% today as skyrocketing global bond yields and relentless USD 90+ oil prices choked out equity momentum. While high flying tech sectors suffered sharp mid day reversals, the S&P 500 Energy Sector Index was the lone green beacon on Wall Street, surging 1.8% to eye an all time high. Why is The Market Tumbling Today? The sudden slide isn't an isolated anomaly.  It is a direct consequence of a massive worldwide bond market rout crushing speculative valuations: The Multi Decade Yield Spike: The US 30 year Treasury Bond yield blasted to a fresh 19 year high of 5.33%.  Spilling from a hot economic print in Japan, global borrowing cost

$SPX Hits the Downside Target as the Next Setup Takes Shape

$S&P 500(.SPX)$ has now reached the initial downside objective, with weekly FVG support getting tapped. At the same time, a bullish SMT divergence with $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ is developing around the August 6 low, suggesting the selloff may be entering a more important decision zone. 👀 The move straight down from the highs looks like the A-wave of an ABC correction. If that structure plays out as expected, the market could spend the rest of the week completing the pullback before setting up for the next leg higher. 📊 🎯 The key level to watch is 7,900. For the bullish scenario to remain valid, price needs to stabilize around the current FVG support and allow the corrective structure to develop rather than t

$SPX Faces a Short Term Bearish Setup as the Gap Fill Unfolds

$SPX was rejected around 7,714 today before sliding toward 7,684, keeping the short-term structure firmly on the defensive. The key question now is whether the current move develops into a broader gap fill toward 7,610. 👀 For the bearish gap-fill thesis to remain intact, 7,760 is the level that matters most. A recovery back above 7,760 would weaken or invalidate the setup. Until then, 7,714 and 7,684 remain the next downside levels to watch as the move potentially develops over several sessions. ⚠️ Tomorrow's FOMC minutes at 2:00 PM add another layer of event risk. Volatility could increase sharply around the release, so the short-term path may remain bearish or choppy rather than develop into a clean directional move. 📊 The bigger picture is different. The medium- and long-term structure

🍎 Apple Is Up 2,860% But Is the Risk Worth It?

$Apple(AAPL)$ has delivered a staggering 2,860% gain 📈, but its impressive track record does not mean the stock is without risk. 🔊 Pricing Power vs. Mega Client Apple controls an estimated 40–50% of the smartphone audio market, yet more than 85% of revenue comes from a single mega-client. That concentration creates a structural risk that investors cannot ignore, even with strong market share. 💰 Capital Efficiency Its asset-light, fabless model keeps capital requirements low while generating roughly 28% cash return on capital. Steady buybacks add another layer of shareholder support. 📊 Valuation Matters Our conservative two-year forecast looks at whether a 9%+ FCF yield provides enough margin of safety at current levels. 🔎 The key question is no lo

SPX Lost Its Key Level and Semis Followed Lower

The stock market declined today as technical conditions suggested and our levels validated. Last Saturday, the Weekly Compass presented a high-probability bearish reversal for the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ , marking the loss of 7,773 as the key trigger that would validate the thesis, a level not far from Friday’s close, and in fact, a level breached during Monday morning in market hours with no gaps or premarket surprises. Following yesterday’s decline in the SPX and $NASDAQ 100(NDX)$ , I studied the semiconductor rally, highlighting the gaps on $VanEck Semiconductor ETF(SMH)$ , $Micron Technology(MU)$ , and bearish setups for

Small Pullback

$SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust(SPY)$ QQQ suddenly initiated a small pullback, with the target being the starting price from August 3, around 710. SPY also looks like it's heading for a pullback to 760. This pullback isn't actually that small, but compared to July, it is. In terms of magnitude, it's simply giving back the excess gains from August 4. Even if it pulls back to 760, SPY's August gains would still be positive. The VIX 24 Call opened 146,600 contracts $VIX 20260916 24.0 CALL$ . Compared to the previous 28 Call opening, this is relatively moderate — suggesting that this pullback will likely push the VIX only into the low 20s. $SanDisk Corp
