Korean Stocks Swing Wildly: Are Korea ETFs Still Worth Buying?

South Korea’s stock market has experienced an extremely volatile year. From the beginning of 2026 through June 22, the KOSPI staged a powerful bull run, reaching an all-time high of 9,114.55 on June 22. However, Korean equities then entered a technical bear market, falling all the way to 5,593 on July 30, representing a 39% drawdown from the peak. Since then, the KOSPI has rebounded sharply. By August 18, the index had recovered to 6,913, up 23% from its July low. So why has the Korean stock market experienced such an extreme cycle of surge, collapse, and technical rebound? Why did Korean stocks rally so strongly from the beginning of the year to June 22? I believe there were two main reasons. 1. The AI supercycle Since the beginning of the year, the global AI supply chain has entered a su

Semiconductors Plunged Collectively Yesterday — What Happened?

U.S. semiconductor and memory sectors saw a notable pullback on Tuesday. $Philadelphia Semiconductor Index(SOX)$dropped 5%, with broad‑based declines across the sector. Memory chip stocks took an even harder hit: SanDisk ‑9%, SK Hynix ‑9.2%, Micron ‑7%, Western Digital ‑7.4%, Seagate ‑9.2%. NVDA& CBRS: Which One You Prefer?

$NVIDIA(NVDA)$ vs $Cerebras Systems(CBRS)$ $NVIDIA(NVDA)$ is far cheaper but is it a better bet today? For now, yes. But let's see where $Cerebras Systems(CBRS)$ can get to when it's through this early IPO period. Firstly, $Cerebras Systems(CBRS)$ valuation was insane. It came in with an IPO that was 20x oversubscribed and then hit ~90x FY26 revenue estimates on day 1. With the stock now trading ~$52B on $900M in FY26 numbers...the valuation is still insane at ~57x 2026 forecasts. But we're also trad

The Reason I am Bullish on AMZN

Just want to add to this $Amazon.com(AMZN)$ math: E-Commerce: ARR is currently $547B. It's likely worth anywhere between 1 -1.8x sales which puts the e-comm valuation ~$800B. Digital Ads: FY26 revs is heading towards $80B+ with operating margins likely at +50% which puts operating income +$40B. I think a conservative multiple on this is in the 20x EBIT range which values the ads business ~$800B as well. That's a total of $1.6T in e-comm and ads. Overall valuation is $2.8T which means ~$1.2T is available for: -> AWS: Likely worth +$3T by 2030 -> Amazon Leo -> Zoox -> One Medical -> Prime Video -> Equity stakes

GOLD: The Area Around $4,362 May Mark the End of the Rally

Gold Technical Analysis: $Gold - main 2612(GCmain)$$XAU/USD(XAUUSD.FOREX)$ Currently, the 4-hour candlestick chart is showing a bearish downtrend, heading straight toward the lower Bollinger Band at $4,320. The price pattern has formed a “head-and-shoulders top” and “M-top” structure, indicating a short-term top. Since the pullback from the mid-August high (above 4,450), the highs have continued to decline. The current price has not only broken below the middle Bollinger Band at $4,378, but the short-term moving averages (MA5/MA10) have also formed a bearish crossover at higher levels above the price, confirming a short-term bearish trend. BTC: The Price is Off 50%, Why Nobody's Buying?

Everyone begged for a $Bitcoin(BTC.USD.CC)$ dip. It's here, 50% off, and nobody's buying. $Bitcoin(BTC.USD.CC)$ is back above 64k, up from the 58k low it tagged in June. It's sitting almost 50% under the October ATH near 126k; the exact discount everyone said they wanted. If bulls can push it back above 74k it'll signal a more risk-on environment for crypto and broader markets as a whole. If it stays under 74k crypto will continue to consolidate. If $Bitcoin(BTC.USD.CC)$ fades under 60k and trends towards 50k, it could trigger another larger selloff within crypto. Key Catalysts ETF flow reversal: S

TRADE PLAN for Wednesday 📈 $S&P 500(.SPX)$ previous ATH at 7620 in play before a bottom forms. SPX gave up the 7700 support today after holding it for 9 days. Chip and memory stocks lead the move lower today as well. $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ possible it fills the gap near 707 before a bottom forms too. IF it can't reclaim 722 tomorrow, we can see more downside as well. Let the market drop for now. $Micron Technology(MU)$ needs a push back above 1000 to set up for 1250. We saw MU move from low 700's to 1035 in 3 weeks. Let's see if it can find a base above 900 this month.

Xiaomi jumps nearly 7% post-earnings. Time for a turnaround?

Today, $小米集团-W(01810)$ stock price surged, at one point rising over 5%, driven by a surprising counter-trend growth in its smartphone business gross margin. Previously, against the backdrop of high memory prices and a pressured consumer terminal market, market expectations for Xiaomi's smartphone business were relatively low. After the earnings report was released, the numbers showed that Xiaomi's smartphone revenue declined 7.5% year-over-year, and shipments also decreased significantly by 26.5% compared to the same period last year. However, the primary reason for this was the company's optimization of its product mix, which involved cutting shipments of mid-to-low-end models. The effects of this product premiumization strategy
Xiaomi jumps nearly 7% post-earnings. Time for a turnaround?
TOPInvesting Leon: Xiaomi has indeed made solid progress in its premiumization strategy, and the latest earnings show a clear increase in its exposure to higher-end products. However, the outlook for future growth is still not particularly optimistic, as Xiaomi’s transition toward the premium segment is not yet fully complete.

[Earnings Recap] Baidu Crashes 13%, La-Z-Boy Sinks 16% — Earnings Season Isn’t Over Yet

Tuesday delivered several sharp earnings moves. Baidu was the biggest high-profile loser as its advertising business weakened, while Amer Sports gained on another strong quarter. After the bell, La-Z-Boy plunged and Keysight bounced on a beat-and-raise report. $Klarna Group plc(KLAR)$-23% Klarna is a Swedish fintech company best known for “buy now, pay later” payment services. Klarna reported Q2 revenue of $1.04 billion, up 27% year over year, while the company swung to a $9 million net profit, better than expectations for a loss. GMV rose 18% to $36.6 billion, with U.S. GMV growing 27%. The problem was guidance. Klarna cut its 2026 revenue forecast to $4.08 billion–$4.16 billion, down from $4.34 billion previously, and lowered GMV guidance to $14

POLL>>🪙 | 💰 31 US Stocks Hit New Highs: BAC, MRK, TD, SCHW, BMO,...

💬 Join the discussion: Vote in our poll below and share your take in the comments — every useful comment earns Tiger Coins! 🎁 Thirty-one U.S. stocks with market caps above $10 billion are trading at fresh all-time highs as of August 14, 2026. The top 10 are dominated by banking — spanning U.S. money-center and super-regional lenders, Canadian money-center banks, discount brokerage/wealth management, and global custody banking — alongside one large-cap pharmaceutical name in oncology and cardiopulmonary biopharma. This concentration points to a broad-based bank earnings supercycle (double-digit EPS growth across trading, fee income, and net interest income), a wave of positive operating leverage at the major Canadian banks, and continued pipeline-driven re-rating in large-cap pharma as the

TOP苏36: If I had to pick one stock from the list, I'd choose Charles Schwab (SCHW). What makes Schwab interesting is that this is more than a traditional bank trade. It benefits from rising client assets, stronger trading activity and growing banking revenue. Q2 revenue reached a record $7.1B, up 21% YoY, while adjusted EPS jumped 42%. I also like BNY as a second choice because its custody and asset-servicing business gives it a different growth engine from traditional lenders. That said, I wouldn't chase every bank at all-time highs. Earnings momentum is real, but valuations are also moving higher. A pullback could offer a much better risk/reward entry. My vote: A — U.S. Banks & Brokers. My pick: SCHW. 30-day dark horse: BNY. The bank rally still has fuel, but from here, stock selection matters more than simply buying the sector. @TigerPicks [财迷]

S&P 500 Path to 8,000: Navigating Short-Term Consolidation and Strategic Sector Allocation

Major Wall Street institutions like $JPMorgan Chase(JPM)$ JPMorgan and $Goldman Sachs(GS)$ Goldman Sachs (along with $Morgan Stanley(MS)$ Morgan Stanley) have lifted their targets for the $S&P 500(.SPX)$ S&P 500 toward the 8,000 milestone. Yet, retail investors are grappling with recent index pullbacks and localized volatility. Wall Street's 8,000 Call: Top-Down Bullishness vs. Short-Term Reality Wall Street equity strategists set index targets using macro fundamentals—primarily corporate earnings per share (EPS) and price-to-earnings (P/E) valuation multiples. The move toward an 8,000 S&P 500 target rests on thre
