Options Market Statistics: Tariff Fears Drag Nvidia Stock Down 8%


$NVIDIA Corp(NVDA)$   shares fell 8% on Monday, with the most traded puts contracts of $110 strike price that expire on Mar 7 and the total volume reaching 136,622 with the open interest of 28,771, while the most traded calls contracts of $120 strike price that expire on Mar 7 and the total volume reaching 148,242 with the open interest of 13,965.

President Donald Trump confirmed that tariffs from Canada and Mexico will go into effect on Tuesday.

Nvidia's stock has fallen over 13% since Wednesday, even though the company reported strong earnings that beat analysts' expectations. Its revenue grew 78% from last year to $39.33 billion.

During the earnings call, analysts asked how Nvidia plans to handle U.S. tariffs. CFO Colette Kress said it's still unclear, as they need more details on the government's plans.
