Black Friday! What's Your Shopping List? Stocks or Products?
This year’s Black Friday isn’t just about malls and e-commerce slashing prices — many star stocks are also trading at “broken-bone” discounts. So what’s your move: grab the products you’ve been eyeing, or take advantage of oversold stocks for a value/ tactical rebound? Let’s talk
Black Friday Deals: Products Are So Tempting
$Lululemon Athletica(LULU)$
Clothes, shoes, bags — almost everything is on sale! Plus, members get an extra 15% OFF, and many classics are at the lowest prices of the year.
🛍️ The products are easy to buy — the stock, the same. LULU shares are down over 40% YTD.
So… Black Friday: buying the clothes or the stock at a “broken-bone” price?
$Deckers Outdoor(DECK)$
Ugg boots and Hoka shoes are winter blockbusters! Lots of restocked colors + discounts during Black Friday, especially for Hoka classics like Clifton and Bondi — genuinely cheaper than usual.
🛍️ DECK stock is also down more than 40% from its highs. Just like the shoes… it’s in its own discount season. So which one are you buying — the shoes or DECK shares?
Alo Yoga
Black Friday means 30% OFF sitewide!
Classic hoodies, yoga pants, jackets — perfect moment for fitness girls to restock winter workout essentials.
Amazon: Deals Everywhere
Electronics, beauty, apparel, home goods — everything. Runs from Nov 20 to Dec 1. If you just want to “save money,” Amazon is your best place to stock up on essentials.
But the biggest discounts this year… are in the stock market
These five star names are all down more than 40% YTD: $Lululemon Athletica(LULU)$ / $Chipotle Mexican Grill(CMG)$ / $Novo-Nordisk A/S(NVO)$ / $Deckers Outdoor(DECK)$ / $Strategy(MSTR)$
They were top performers for years — and now they’re all deep in the bargain bin.
So the big question: Are you buying their products, or buying their stocks this Black Friday?
Special Case: $Oracle(ORCL)$ — Big Bounce After a Crash, but Still in “Ice Zone”
ORCL jumped 4.02% on Wednesday after dropping nearly 30% in a month — but the stock is still down over 40% from its September high.
Short-Term Tactical Opportunity (Techs + Sentiment Rebound)
Down >40% from the high; Nearly 30% drop in a month; Most negative expectations priced in; Classic “oversold + rebound window”
Short-term traders: Oversold rebound = opportunity.
🔍 Medium/Long-Term Risk: The Business Model Needs Time to Prove Itself
Oracle is taking a “high-leverage bet on the AI future,” shifting into a heavier, long-cycle model:
Longer profit cycle; More cash flow pressure; Huge capital expenditures; Sustainability and ROI still need years of market verification
Long-term investors: Wait for validation — no rush.
So tell me — which “discount” are you buying this Black Friday?

Of course, the product deals are tempting too. LULU gear at yearly lows, discounted Hoka shoes, and Amazon’s sitewide offers make it a great time to restock essentials. Some of these items hardly ever go on sale, so it’s hard to resist picking up a few.
So this year, I’m doing both — buying a couple of items I’ve been waiting for and nibbling on a few oversold quality stocks. It’s a mix of small lifestyle upgrades and strategic portfolio moves. My wallet might take a hit, but it feels like the right balance for this Black Friday.

In investing: Buy Buy Buy can mean filling our portfolio with Assets that can compound.
The danger is the same for both : chasing hype, mistaking discounts for value.
So my mantra changes from Buy buy buy to Choose choose choose wisely. Every purchase, whether gadget or stock is really a vote for the future me.
So this Black Friday, I will shop with an intentional mindset.
The important thing to do is pausing to ask :
Do I really need it?
Can it compound in the future?
Products fade. Stocks grow. Consumption comforts today. Conviction compounds tomorrow.

🛍️這些產品很容易買到——庫存也一樣。LULU股價年初至今已下跌超過40%。
So it is possible to buy the dip on Oracle then exiting after to make a neat profit. I also recall Oracle having the backing of some bank saying that there's no bubble or something along that line (don't quote me on it, can't remember the specific) so that might just be the wind in Oracle's sail to climb back up
