[ Event] SK Hynix Has Tumbled. How Much Have You Lost?
$SK hynix(SKHY)$ has fallen from a high of US$194.80 to US$126.29, down about 35%. The drop has been even more painful for $CSOP SK Hynix Daily (2x) Leveraged Product(07709)$ , which has fallen from HK$193.65 to HK$25.28, a loss of nearly 87% from its peak.
SK Hynix reported record quarterly revenue and operating profit, but both still missed Wall Street expectations. That was enough to trigger another sharp swing in the stock.
There is also a major change coming for leveraged ETF investors
Starting August 3, CSOP’s single-stock leveraged and inverse products will move to a flexible leverage model. These products will no longer aim for a fixed 2x or -2x daily return. This may help limit risk during extreme market moves. But it also means that if SK Hynix rebounds, 07709 may not always deliver the full 2x gain.

I prefer buying quality companies during periods of fear instead of chasing momentum. I've been adding to Micron and SOXL on weakness because I expect AI infrastructure spending and memory demand to keep expanding. Volatility creates opportunities for patient investors.
The leverage change to 07709 makes sense from a risk-management perspective, although it may reduce upside during sharp rebounds. My strategy remains the same: gradually buy the dip in high-conviction AI and memory stocks while staying focused on the long term.
