GEX Chart: How to Track Market Maker Flows

GEX (Gamma Exposure) is a core metric that measures market makers' risk exposure and potential institutional fund flows, accurately reflecting the invisible "push and pull" forces of the market at different price levels. I. What is GEX? Gamma Exposure (Gamma Exposure) is a key indicator viewed from the perspective of the overall market and market makers to measure market makers' risk exposure and potential market fund flows. To truly understand this function, we first need to look at the primary force in the market: Market Makers. 1. What is a Market Maker? Market makers are the middlemen of the market, commonly known as "house makers" (or liquidity providers), and their main mission is to provide market liquidity: Whenever you want to buy, they must sell to you; Whenever you want to sell,

3-Month 100% Return: How a First-Time US Stock Trader Uses AI to Read the Semiconductor Cycle

Meet @Yongjian Zhang — a rising voice in the Tiger Community. A home textiles entrepreneur based in Singapore, he only started trading US stocks this March — no finance background, no investing books, no formal training. Instead, he built his own edge from scratch: running ChatGPT and Claude side by side to read the market, and anchoring almost everything to one conviction — semiconductors. A few months in, his net asset return is already north of 100%. 👀 Stick around until the end for an exclusive interview with @Yongjian Zhang—plus your chance to score extra Tiger Coins and get featured next! Briefly introduce yourself and walk us through how you g
3-Month 100% Return: How a First-Time US Stock Trader Uses AI to Read the Semiconductor Cycle
TOPkoolgal: 🌟Congratulations @Yongjian Zhang on achieving 100% returns in 3 months. It is a great achievement especially for a new trader. Zhang is correct that traditional retail playbooks cannot keep pace with the modern semiconductor cycle. AI tools do provide an undeniable edge especially in eliminating human emotional bias. When a stock like SK Hynix drops sharply, it is human to feel panic or be in denial. An AI model looks purely at the hard data anomalies, allowing a trader to execute emotionless entries & exits based on pure probability. I believe that the ultimate approach is not to completely abandon the old playbook for the new, but to fuse them together. Use AI tools exactly like Zhang does: as a high powered radar to track fast moving supply cycles, detect institutional capital flows & scan immense datasets. But always overlay that data with old playbook: strict position sizing, no big leverage & understanding of fundamentals. @TigerClub @TigerStars @Tiger_comments

Alphabet Beat Expectations… So Why Did the Stock Fall?

Sometimes, great earnings aren't enough. Wednesday's trading session looked relatively quiet: Dow Jones: -0.01% $S&P 500(.SPX)$ : -0.14% Nasdaq: -0.57% But once the closing bell rang, the real story began. $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ officially kicked off earnings season for the Magnificent Seven, and they reminded investors that today's market is no longer judging companies on earnings alone. The New Question Isn't "Did They Beat?" It's "How Much Will They Spend on AI?" Alphabet delivered another strong earnings report. Yet the stock declined in after-hours trading. Why? Because management raised its AI capital expenditure guidance to $195–20

Why ServiceNow’s Strong AI Growth Has Not Settled the Disruption Debate

$ServiceNow(NOW)$’s second-quarter results challenge the idea that generative AI will simply replace established enterprise-software platforms. They do not, however, eliminate the longer-term risk that AI changes how such software is priced and consumed. For the quarter ended June 30, subscription revenue increased 24.5% year over year to $3.88 billion. Current remaining performance obligations—contracted revenue expected within 12 months—rose 21% to $13.2 billion, while total remaining obligations reached $29 billion. ServiceNow also disclosed that its AI products surpassed $1 billion in annual contract value. ServiceNow’s July 22 results provide the figures. Large transactions support the bullish interpretation. This looks more like a valuation reset than a deterioration in the business. Alphabet's underlying fundamentals remain strong: Cloud revenue growth of 82% YoY suggests AI demand is accelerating, not slowing. Management says demand exceeds capacity, implying additional investment is driven by customer demand rather than speculative spending. Search, Cloud and AI together give Alphabet multiple earnings engines. The concern is that higher capex delays free cash flow expansion and compresses near-term returns, prompting investors to lower the valuation multiple even if long-term earnings potential improves. For long-term investors, that can create an opportunity, provided they believe management will convert today's AI spending into future cash flows. The key metrics to watch are Cloud operat

Why CSX’s Intermodal Growth Is a Better Signal Than Its Fuel-Surcharge Revenue

$CSX Corp(CSX)$ delivered record quarterly revenue and significantly higher earnings, but the most informative part of the report was not the headline revenue increase. It was the combination of stronger freight volumes and improved operating efficiency. Second-quarter revenue rose 10% year over year to $3.94 billion. Operating income increased 17% to $1.51 billion, while diluted earnings rose 23% to $0.54 per share. CSX expanded its operating margin by 240 basis points to 38.3%, even as total volume grew 6%. CSX’s official July 22 release contains the complete comparison. Part of the revenue increase came from fuel surcharges, which fluctuate with energy prices and are not necessarily evidence of durable underlying demand. The stronger bullish sig

Disclaimer: Nothing I say or post should be considered financial advice. Please do your own due diligence before making any investment decisions. $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ GOOGL got absolutely hammered pre-market even though they beat market expectations on earnings, increasing their capex spend on AI-related technology. However, investors are not confident that GOOGL can cope with these goals and decide to sell off.  So the bottom line is a clear earnings beat does not always reflect in the stock movement. There are many layers of consideration in place, this is the exact reason why I do not trade earnings. With that said. I still believe in the business model and market cap that GOOGL has, it will be just a short term tai

Intel Reports Tonight: Up 278% YTD, First Named Foundry Customer, and a 15% Options Move. This Is a Binary.

The setup going into tonight is more loaded than any Intel earnings in recent memory, and not just because the stock is up 278% year to date. Two days ago Intel landed its first publicly named external foundry customer under CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Fortinet's SP6 security chip on Intel 4 process, and the stock surged 8.64%. It is now sitting at $102 to $105, down 2.68% today as the market takes profits ahead of the print. Options traders are pricing a 13 to 15% move in either direction. That is the 94th percentile of implied volatility over the past year. The market is treating this as a genuine binary, and it is right to do so. The reason is simple. Intel's transformation under Lip-Bu Tan is either real and beginning to compound, or it is still a restructuring story without foundry economics to b

Why Rocket Lab’s $266 Million Contract Matters More Than Its Initial Stock Gain

$Rocket Lab USA, Inc.(RKLB)$’s new US Space Force award demonstrates that the company is developing a second launch franchise alongside its established orbital business. The contract is strategically meaningful, although the valuation still assumes substantial future execution. The Space Force awarded Rocket Lab a firm-fixed-price contract worth as much as $266 million for 12 suborbital launch vehicles, with an option for six additional vehicles. Launches are expected from Alaska’s Pacific Spaceport Complex, and $112 million was initially obligated. The award occurred on July 21 and was reported publicly on July 22. Why Molina Healthcare’s Earnings Beat Cannot Hide Its Medicaid Margin Problem

$Molina Healthcare(MOH)$ exceeded second-quarter expectations and raised its annual earnings outlook, yet its shares weakened in after-hours and premarket trading. The reaction reflects a central concern: the company’s medical costs remain high, and management’s expected Medicaid recovery is weighted toward 2027 rather than the current year. Second-quarter revenue declined 4.8% year over year to $10.87 billion as lower membership reduced premium revenue. GAAP net income fell to $60 million, or $1.19 per share, from $255 million, or $4.75 per share. Adjusted earnings of $1.51 exceeded consensus expectations, and management raised full-year adjusted earnings guidance to at least $5.25 per share. Why QuantumScape’s Honda Validation Does Not Solve Its Manufacturing Challenge

$Quantumscape Corp.(QS)$’s second-quarter update contained meaningful commercial validation, but the company remains a development-stage battery business whose central challenge is manufacturing at automotive scale. On June 18, QuantumScape announced a multiyear collaboration with Honda covering solid-state lithium-metal batteries for automotive and other applications. In its July 22 shareholder update, the company said it had amended its licensing milestones with Volkswagen’s PowerCo, continued working with two other top-ten automakers and shipped cells to another automotive customer. QuantumScape’s July 22 Form 8-K and shareholder letter document those developments. These relationships support the bullish thesis because automakers perform extensiv

I'd pick A) DBS / OCBC / UOB — the banking trio. I've always wanted more flexibility to add to these banks, especially DBS, but a 100-share lot required a much larger upfront investment than I prefer. I'd rather build my position gradually. A 10-share board lot fits my investing style much better. I can split my purchases into smaller batches and DCA monthly instead of committing a large amount at one price. It also gives me more flexibility to manage my cash flow and take advantage of market pullbacks without waiting to accumulate a large sum. This is a great move for retail investors. Lower entry barriers make it easier to build long-term positions in Singapore's quality blue chips. I hope SGX eventually expands this initiative to more high-priced stocks in the future. I still believe AI hardware is the strongest theme. Every AI platform depends on chips, memory, networking and advanced manufacturing before software can scale. Google's Cloud growth strengthens my conviction in companies like NVIDIA, TSMC, Broadcom and Micron. The AI infrastructure cycle still looks like it has plenty of room to run. The negative free cash flow from $Alphabet(GOOGL)$ and $Tesla Motors(TSLA)$ doesn't worry me yet. Both are investing heavily for future growth. My focus is whether those investments eventually drive stronger revenue, margins and cash flow. Between the two signals, I think Google Cloud's 82% growth matters more. It proves customers are already paying for AI services. If ad

IBM showed another side of the cycle: corporate customers are prioritizing scarce servers, memory and storage, while some traditional IT projects are being delayed. 🌟🌟While all 4 sectors represent critical pillars of the technology sector, AI Cloud Platforms are demonstrating the most robust fundamental strength. Why?  Hyper Growth Acceleration: $Alphabet(GOOG)$ Q2 earnings served as proof of this theme's dominance.  Google Cloud growth exploded by a huge 82% YoY to USD 24.8 billion, underscoring that enterprise customers are deploying real dollars to secure cloud infrastructure & run Gemini workloads. AI Hardware theme remains strong but because semiconductor stock valuations are sitting at highly elevated valuations, this sector faces shorter term technical consolidation. Navigating Tech Earnings Volatility: Valuations, AI CapEx, and the Future of Mega-Caps and QQQ

The recent pullbacks across tech indices like $Invesco QQQ(QQQ)$ QQQ highlight a shifting paradigm on Wall Street. Why Lockheed Martin’s Record Backlog Triggered a 10% Revaluation

$Lockheed Martin(LMT)$ rose 10.5% on July 23, even as the broader US market declined. The move was supported by stronger earnings, raised guidance and a record backlog rather than solely by geopolitical headlines. Second-quarter sales increased 11% year over year to $20.1 billion. Net earnings reached $1.8 billion, or $7.94 per share, while free cash flow improved to $2.9 billion. New orders totalled approximately $65 billion, lifting backlog to a record $230 billion. Lockheed Martin’s July 23 earnings release provides the figures. Management raised full-year guidance to sales of approximately $79.75 billion–$81.75 billion and earnings of $29.95–$30.65 per share. $T-Mobile US(TMUS)$’s second-quarter report was profitable and cash-generative, yet its shares fell 10.8% on July 23. Why Newmont’s Record Cash Flow Could Not Overcome Falling Gold Production

$Newmont Mining(NEM)$’s second-quarter earnings exceeded expectations, but the stock slipped because stronger gold prices concealed weaker production. The company generated a record $2.2 billion of quarterly free cash flow and returned approximately $1.9 billion through dividends and share repurchases.
